DISAPPOINTED!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this dryer about a month. I gave away my Whirlpool (Cabrio match) since I was getting a new Whirlpool washing machine. That was a huge mistake. The dryer works well enough. However, the filter tray seems so cheap and it really doesn't seem to fit correctly, perhaps because it is PLASTIC!!! Also, on my old Whirlpool dryer, I could specify how many minutes I wanted the clothes to dry. I like to hang them up fairly wet to prevent wrinkling. With this dryer, you either have 15 minutes at the lowest amount of minutes or use the less dry cycle which has never really worked for me.

Drys but noisy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the large capacity. Works well, however it is louder than my last dryer and maybe any I have ever had. My last dryer kept tumbling at a cooler temperature until I was able to get clothes out. This one stops, then after 5 minutes, runs for about 30 seconds and then stops for another 5 minutes. If I remove cloths after it sets for a couple minutes the wrinkles have started to set in. To start the dryer, you push and hold and the release. Years of pushing anything to start makes one expect to push and wait for it to start. I find I am holding it and waiting, and then remembering to let go to have it start.

Here it is,
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this clothes dryer recently in a set . I notice that to energize from idle is slow and labored. I don't know if that is some energy saving feature, but sometimes I use the circuit breaker off/on to make sure it"s not dead. I really could be more responsive, Clothes still come out damp with the time you set that you would think they would be dried, but aren't.
Dryer tumbler capacity is great accommodating a full load. Timer on Timed Dry setting seems that it's shorting minutes.
I wish I could have taken it for a spin before buying it. It does not load on the top as written in the dryer description.

Exceeds expectations!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer after having mine for the last 22 years. I was hesitant because they say things aren’t made like they used to be. I had a Maytag dryer previously but I just believed that it was age in which it quit working. We purchased both the matching new Whirlpool washer and dryer upon previous research and the fact that rest of our house has all Whirlpool appliances. Well, both the new washer and dryer have far exceeded our expectations! They are wonderful and do an AMAZING job! We couldn’t be happier with our new set and are so happy so happy with our entire household of Whirlpool appliances!

A gorgeous workhorse!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we bought this dryer we had gone 3 weeks without a washer or dryer. We didn't go to a laundromat so you can imagine how much dirty laundry we had. Our dryer was going non-stop to keep up with the new washing machine and it was wonderful. Very easy to learn, quiet, and huge! Everything was coming out with no wrinkles so we haven't tried the steam function yet but I can imagine I am going to love it the first time I let a load sit all day in the dryer. Beautiful machine next to the matching washer, so my laundry room is very attractive as well as extremely functional!

Very nice controls; top of unit s/b flat.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From an operating standpoint, this model is a significant improvement over its predecessor, which gave up the ghost after 10+ years of loyal service.
My principal challenge with this model is a design issue: the top lid of the unit has a gentle slope downwards; it is not flat. Three times, the action of the machine has wriggled-loose the box of my laundry detergent. Makes for a messy cleanup. I have learned my lesson now, so I keep the box on the floor. BUT, it would be nice if the top of the unit could be level with the floor.

Figuring it Out
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was not my choice to buy a new washer and dryer, my old ones were over 20 years old and the washer was dying. So now I'm having to start over with new technology and having to figure them all out. I do like the large capacity of them both, I do not like the fact that the top of the dryer is not flat so I can't set anything on it and expect it to stay put. I have to take the cover off when I use the machine because it won't stay on. I'm still experimenting with different settings to find ones that I like. I miss my old dryer, but I'll get used to this one in time.

Solid Dryer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a 15-year-old dryer (may this one make at least 10 years!) with this dryer. It has enough settings for regular use and many others I will only use once or twice a year, but it's nice to have them available. It is a solid and good-looking large capacity dryer. Minor cons: The top does slope slightly if that is important to you. It is quieter than my old one, but I was expecting it to be a little quieter. (sorry, I don't have dBAs to compare) The hose for steam was not included which makes no sense to me. Luckily, the delivery company had one on hand.
