I also have the Olympus 17mm f1.8 and the Olympus 12-40 f2.8 PRO lenses and took a set of images indoors in dull conditions and outdoors in sunny conditions. Amazingly in overlaying the images in Photoshop, I found it difficult to distinguish them.
I own many olympus lenses and they all serve different purposes. To maintain the omd and pen series as a pocket camera, this is a must have lens. Sure, not great in low light. isn't made for action. But for a day with the family. a day in the city.
I got this lens for a compact travel use. Quick tripod tests show this is not the sharpest lens I own fromOlympus by any means, but more than servicable for vacation snapshots.
Versatile, affordable. great value. Must have for shooting with dji x5/x7
Ok lens. I really need some kind of a hack for not losing the lens cap though since it is so very small!
I bought this lens for its compact size and light weight. It makes my OM-10 into a jacket pocketable camera. Image quality seems to be on a par with the usual kit zoom, so you don't give up anything in making the change to this smaller lens. Highly recommended for traveling.
Good zoom standard range. This would equal a 24mm-84mm lens on a 35mm camera. I got it on sale for half of its normal price.
Good lens field of view is good made good. The zoom could use a toggle slow to fast its just one speed but overall quite happy with it. Would have been cool if it had image stabilization.
Expensive for what it is.
Stupidly expensive accessory but love it all the same.
