I also have the Olympus 17mm f1.8 and the Olympus 12-40 f2.8 PRO lenses and took a set of images indoors in dull conditions and outdoors in sunny conditions. Amazingly in overlaying the images in Photoshop, I found it difficult to distinguish them.
I have been looking and researching a new camera for some time to replace an older Fuji X-100 as my primary camera and an Oly 620 SLR. However, I went back and forth about a Canon G5X and the Olympus OM-D M5 Mark II as I wasn't sure if I really needed all the features of the Oly.
How do more people not know about this lens?! I searched youtube and found a couple short unboxings in other languages, but nothing other than that.In short, this, paired with the automatic lens cap (LC-37C), is by far the coolest lens Ive ever used.
I purchased this lens after researching. - Although the lens does work with the X5 on the Inspire 1v2. - The zoom does work although not smooth and really only workable on the drone if you unscrew and remove a plate on the X5. - Then, still only for still images.
It's very flat and I like it a lot!!! I just wish the zoom was manual but still is a good lens...
Got it at a great price of USD 99. Yet to test it.
Used this on a vacation and it was the perfect size. Not big and heavy great focal length for anything I needed.
Good pancake lens to go with my m10
Amazing quality that I was not expecting in such a small package. I take this when I want a very light kit and not use my big 14-40 2.0 pro lens. GET IT!
Small lightweight -- perfect companion for my Olympus micro 4/3 camera. 14-42mm is 35mm equivalent of 28-84mm so capable of handling nearly all assignments. It's a great all-day carry lens for sightseeing.
