Great lens to use for my Oly em5 mkII when I what the lightest load possible. This little lens is much better than some reviewers would have you believe.
Very nice and much better that the kit lens. Great street lens and nice closeups too.Nice all purpose lens. Olympus make some of the finest lenses on the market. My first Olympus was and OM-D 35 mm with a 50 mm 1.4 lens. I purchased that in the 1970's.
This lens is very compact, and quite capable for it?s intended use. It weighs almost nothing and is well built. You will sacrifice some sharpness, but the trade off still makes this lens a good value.
I bought this lens for special situations like visiting museums, churches or small groups where a long lens is just out of place and too bulky. This small "pancake" lens that telephotos out is a perfect companion my Olympus 4/3 camera body.
Using on my DJI Inspire, DJI Osmo Pro, Panny GH4, and Panny GX1. A steal at the new Sale price. Very quiet power zoom compared to Lumix equivalent. (Panny won't fit Osmo or Inspire 1). Highly recommended.
The LC-37C opens and closes by a small lever located on the back of the cap. When a skylight filter is installed, on the lens, the lever will not make touch the face of the lens. Subsequently the cap will not close.
I also have the Olympus 17mm f1.8 and the Olympus 12-40 f2.8 PRO lenses and took a set of images indoors in dull conditions and outdoors in sunny conditions. Amazingly in overlaying the images in Photoshop, I found it difficult to distinguish them.
This is a great lens that should have come with the camera in the first place! Great for macro.
no comments at this time but thanks olympus
I bought this as a walking around lens for use with an Olympus Pen camera. My regular camera is a bigger Nikon, but I like to carry the Olympus to have a compact but good quality camera when I'm out but not primarily taking pictures.
