My wife and I are new bird-watchers. I am impressed at how quickly I can grab these binoculars, find the bird I want to focus on, and fine-tune the detail. Much better than any other binocular I have used. Well worth the price. I will be purchasing another pair so we don’t have to fight over them.
light, Small, focus, clear optics
The binoculars are great. Ive already used them for roof inspections in my home inspection business and they work really well. The only criticism I have is the lens caps are cheaply made and the eyepiece lens caps fit loosely and fall off. Ive seen this same comment on other reviews.
Great for the price, clear clean view, the set did not feel too heavy around the neck. I have several nikon optics. this was met my expectations. happy with my choice. i would recommend them to anyone looking for a good set at a decent price .
quality product, Priced well.
None that i have found yet
I have had Nikon binoculars for over 50 years. Currently my wife and I use the Monarch 5 for our trips to Africa and for birding everywhere. The new Prostaff series 8x42 is quite good and for 1/3 the price of the Monarch 5. I bought this for my brother in law and tried them.
These are light weight, not bulky, and easy to use. I wear glasses and found the collapsing eye cups very convenient. The optics are superb, just what one would expect from Nikon. The rubberized housing makes for a sure grip and protection when carried outside the case.
Having been cornered into spending less than for a Monarch, I doubted these would be exactly awe-inspiring, but much to my surprise with the initial glance from box to window I was taken aback by the brightness and clarity of the view.
I wanted a good pair of inexpensive binoculars to keep handy for backyard birding, thus far these fit the bill. They are very clear, even in low light, and are super lightweight. Thinking of adding a 2nd pair.
Light, easy to set up, very clear vision
magnification is very god. Width of field and clarity are excellent.
Bought for GF for casual birding. Image quality is light/sharp and excellent for a discerning novice. I find the field of view a tad narrow but it doesn't bother my GF. They feel great in the hand and are very light weight. Smooth focusing, and waterproof to boot.
