I’ll be honest, when I first got the run-down of these units back in August I was skeptical. Partially because I’m not exactly a huge fan of the exterior design of the Casio watches (just my personal style preferences), and partially because I wasn’t really sure how this would turn out.
From the dial to the strap, Garmin Instinct smartwatch is absolutely rugged and shock-proof. They are not afraid of external adversity due to the moisture-proof shock-resistant case and sensors. The watch has built-in flagship activity trackers.
Garmin Instinct: Besides a few minor flaws, the Garmin Instinct is an excellent expedition companion
Rugged MIL-STD design, Superb battery life, Reasonable price
No Garmin Connect IQ apps, Breadcrumb navigation only
Moving away from the mainstream of "i-watches" and watches that tell you when your dog needs to pee, Garmin Instinct is a fresh reminder that simplicity many times works the best. A truly compelling sports watch that lets you keep track of your fitness routine with basic but relevant data.

I love this watch! Super light! I wear my G-shock all the time when I workout but now I can also track my steps and my heart rate during my strength workout. The only thing is that if you play Pokemon Go and wanted to sync the steps to the app, it will not work.
This model came out from Garmin at the same time I was starting to seriously want a device for a mixture of tracking activity, in my case most of which is outdoor oriented, like hiking and riding my mountain bike, plus I wanted to start exploring some physical data from a heart rate monitor as I get...
Very happy with the Garmin Instinct. Rugged watch/fitness tracker. It took a while to learn all of the functions but that's to be expected of an old guy! I would highly recommend the Garmin Instinct especially for those who grew up using the old Casio style watches.
Rugged, Versatile, Very Functional

Like the battery life, wish the screen was in color, very comfortable
The watch is great, everything I wanted and nothing I don’t need (like color display and constant GPS) which kill the battery life. But it’s the app that is above and beyond what I expected. It’s not something I really put much thought into when buying the watch. Very detailed and easy to use.
I had previously had nothing but fit it's prior to this. Went through three in two years decided it was time to get something tougher. So far love this watch, reminds me of my G-shocks from my Army days.

It does everything you expect from a Garmin watch. Love the battery life and durability. I use it for work, exercises and for everyday use. You won't be able to respond to messages like an Iwatch or Android watch. You can make short premade responses though. I definitely recommend it.
I have had my Garmin Instinct for roughly 3 months now and I I absolutely love it! Features are great. Its incredibly durable and battery life is exceptional. I work outside every day and am often in wet, dusty and rough conditions and this thing has not failed me once!
Posting this review for the small wristed woman asking what this watch looks like on a small female wrist. The picture is of my wife wearing my watch. Her wrist measures 15cm. She has and loves the Garmin Vívosport, size small, and loves it. This watch is perfect for me.
