This is 1.9 cu. ft. capacity over-the-range microwave oven is designed for adaptation to three types of ventilation: Recirculating and Vertical or Horizontal outside exhaust. It's nice if you could read the buttons
Overall it's a nice microwave. The "Reheat" feature is like magic, somehow it knows how long to reheat the food based on how much food you put in and it always comes out good (unless you try to reheat too much, then after a few minutes it says "Sensor Error" instead of "Too much food"). The timer in this runs in seconds and minutes as compared to the matching oven range which uses minutes and hours so you always have to remember what you're doing. Note that this model doesn't come with a middle rack. The worst thing, and that's why only 3 stars, is the text on the buttons is dark grey on a dark grey background - they words are almost unreadable.

Cheapening up a decent model
Our previous GE microwave lasted a month short of 5 years. The repair cost was just about the cost of a new microwave, so we decided to go with a new one. Since all the kitchen appliances matched, we went with another matching GE microwave. The mounting system wasn't the same, so we needed to drill even more holes. Why would they sell the "same" microwave with a different mounting system? Once it was mounted and hooked up, we found that it has such as "cheap" feel. The door feels like it could fall off if you're not careful. The keypad isn't as easy to use. The clock display is way too bright. Now we wish we had fixed the old microwave.

GREAT DISSAPPOINTMENT! DID NOT GET WHAT I PAID 4!
Purchased this model 7-15-17 died 9-24-18. We are not wealthy people and like most work truly hard for our money. So we decided when we replaced our WHIRLPOOL after 22 years and upgrade to stainless steel we would put more into the purchase with the hope of getting the same longevity. Well we made it 14 months. No we did not buy the extended warranty. Why need warranty when you are purchasing a stellar product right? Then we called and asked if they can do ANYTHING. Give us an apology was pretty much it! This is so disheartening and disappointing. We have already began a campaign with our family and friends to warn them against purchasing ANY GE products.

Burning Hot Nightlight
We just had a brand new JMV7195SK6SS model Over the Range MWO professionally installed by Best Buy yesterday. This model mfg date of 2023 replaces the same model we had which had a mfg date of 2017. We liked that one very much and it matched our other GE appliances.
This new model has a huge design flaw which seems is a known issue by GE but has yet to be recalled. The overhead nightlight feature was redesigned with a halogen bulb which gets dangerously hot when it's on, low or high. Burn to the touch hot. We are afraid to use the light which is an important feature.
We hope GE will replace the halogen bulb with a safer alternative.

A good microwave with bad incandescent lights
The Microwave is attractive, fully featured, functions well, and was fairly easy to install (as far as above-range microwaves go). The thing that seems most odd, and not in a good way, is that the microwave has two very warm-colored, and fairly dim incandescent lights. One inside, and one underneath to light the range. What's more concerning is that the lights get quite hot.
If you leave the range light on, the inside of the microwave will get very warm, making the glass turntable quite hot to the touch. This feels like a pretty wild design flaw. In the future I will be looking to replace both lights with brighter LEDs or something.

LOVE IT
We have had our new microwave for over a month now and it is such a wonderful upgrade from our year 2005 GE model! The operational panel is simple and easy to use. Food cooks evenly at the appropriate time frame. The inside of the microwave has a beautiful grey finish just like the inside of an oven and makes for easy clean ups. In addition, the inside is large and spacious. Lastly, our microwave hangs over our stove and the total drop down measurements allows for more work space between the two units compared to other microwaves we considered. This microwave is stylish and is a great addition to our newly remodeled kitchen!!!

Pretty Good Overall
Overall the microwave is pretty good, easy to use, and looks nice.
My only real complaint is that the bulbs that are included to light up the area over the stove are terrible. After some trial and error, I found some LED bulbs that fit, are bright and an agreeablee color temperature to see the food I'm cooking. These really should've been included from the get go.

Wanted to love this, but...
We purchased this microwave to match our new GE range & because it is designed to vent & to provide light for the cooktop below. Using it is very simple, but it does have distinct hot spots during cooking. My biggest source of frustration with it is the utterly inadequate amount of lighting, both for the interior but especially for use over the cooktop! The 40 watt halogen bulb is too wimpy & is dimmed even more by the thick glass cover. Truly, this is so poorly designed that I'm shocked... It is barely useful as a nightlight and impossible to use as the light source over a black glass cooktop. Come on, GE... you usually do so much better than this!
