A 4-speed fan with boost to 400 CFM resides inside, and an upfront charcoal filter, for removing odors, blinks when it needs replacement. Inside and out, this over-the-range unit was made to save you steps: there's a worry-free melt feature, a weight-and-time defrost (you enter weight, it calculates time) and easy-clean enamel interior with steam-cleaning.
