I had this camera before and due to my own fault, broke it and replaced it with the same because I was satisfied with the cameras performance, the many functions it has as compared to other cameras. Takes really great pictures and is really easy to use.
I have been taking pictures for over 40 yrs and never have had so many blurry pictures! I went to 2 events and took pictures. About half of them were blurry. Evening pictures were too dark to even see more than an outline, if that.
This camera has Digital Image Stabilization which is as ineffective as "digital zoom." Besides the falsity of the description, the lack of effective stabilization makes even worse the slow f3.2 lens at widest opening. Useless unless in bright sunlight.
I bought this camera nearly 3 weeks ago and I have been searching for the USB cable that is needed to download the photos to my computer and it cannot be found. Not even canon offers it. So now I have this piece of junk and no way to use it. I will be returning it.
I love this compact Canon Power Shot ELPH 180 Camera. It seems to be pretty user friendly so far without having to refer to any user guide. The only thing I had a little challenge with was feeding the camera wrist strap through the side of the camera.
Nice little camera for beginners.
I was really disappointed when this arrived to find it incredibly light weight and felt rather cheap -- all plastic. I owned the same model from 5 years ago and LOVED it. I just felt like the gates to the the ports and battery were ready to snap off at a moment's notice on this newer model.
This camera was a great buy !! It is compact and the images are sharp and clear. I can download them to my computer, and the quality remains unchanged. The battery life is also a plus and when it does need charged you can remove it and plug it into the charger.
CANNOT COMMENT. IT IS A CHRISTMAS GIFT
This camera is very cheaply made. I had hoped for better from Canon. Once I charged the battery, I installed it into the camera. Once the battery door is closed, it gaps open slightly. A more sturdy design would be better. And then, the camera wouldn't even power on. I'm returning it.
