I had this camera before and due to my own fault, broke it and replaced it with the same because I was satisfied with the cameras performance, the many functions it has as compared to other cameras. Takes really great pictures and is really easy to use.
The camera was just what my friend needed. She is in her eighties and just wants a camera to take pictures and this one proved very god at that. A few simple instructions about how to work the camera and she was off and running, more or less.
I have been taking pictures for over 40 yrs and never have had so many blurry pictures! I went to 2 events and took pictures. About half of them were blurry. Evening pictures were too dark to even see more than an outline, if that.
This camera has Digital Image Stabilization which is as ineffective as "digital zoom." Besides the falsity of the description, the lack of effective stabilization makes even worse the slow f3.2 lens at widest opening. Useless unless in bright sunlight.
I bought this camera nearly 3 weeks ago and I have been searching for the USB cable that is needed to download the photos to my computer and it cannot be found. Not even canon offers it. So now I have this piece of junk and no way to use it. I will be returning it.
I love this compact Canon Power Shot ELPH 180 Camera. It seems to be pretty user friendly so far without having to refer to any user guide. The only thing I had a little challenge with was feeding the camera wrist strap through the side of the camera.
Have taken some photos and tested the video mode. Seems reliable. My only issue is getting windows 10 to open and let me upload my data!! Windows 7 and vista were easy!!
Quality is still badd
We take a lot of vacations and many photos for family albums. Our two previous purchases were of Nikon Coolpix. These inexpensive cameras tend to last just 2-3 years (which is fine, given how affordable they are).
Nice point and shoot camera. Great picture quality.
