My expectations were that the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV was going to be at least as wildly successful as its predecessors were, but that expectation was not very hard to realize. The Canon EOS 5-series cameras have become synonymous with value and versatility.

If you can justify the outlay, then the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV has to be one of the most well-rounded and complete DSLRs we've seen. Suited to a range of subjects, from landscapes to sports and wildlife, it'll perform superbly in any situation.

As a magazine photographer, this camera seems to really bring home all I am looking for in a camera. First, I have been shooting with 8mp all the way up to 50mp. Back in the day, 8mp certainly worked, but I've quickly realized that 20+mp really helps in all categories for my work.

Although I have only owned this camera for a short period of time, I am enjoying the features and picture quality immensely. I had a canon rebel t6s before and it has help me to know enough about the 5d mark iv to use it without too much difficulty. I would certainly recommend this camera.

This is a MACHINE. The touchscreen is amazing with all the controls there. The image quality is superb. High ISO is great. ISO 12,800 and even 16,000 totally usable. I have hardly delved into the touchscreen use but a friend did and he loves loves loves it.

Great image, touch screen rocks, Price reasonable for what you are getting.

support software is lagging behind because it is so new. To Canon I suggest rather than make software reverse engineer just give them the specs up front so they can launch with the product. It will make your launch better. The battery grip for 2 batteries is way too expensive.

I upgraded from the 5diii. I did my own tests and did not listed to all the online chatter. There is a noticeable difference between the two cameras. Image quality is improved. I really like the touch screen. Its so much easier to do a landscape focus stack with a touch screen.

Great camera overall, I have a 5DM3 and the controls are quite similar so no learning curve to speak of. I really appreciate being able to zoom in on the touch screen and especially love the wifi feature which is very useful where I'm official photographer at dog shows, and also for portrait...

My best camera yet, a steap lerning curve with this wonder of tehnology packeked in a DSLR package
![]() |
I loved my 5D Mark III, and have appreciated this upgrade. The extra dynamic range and low light sensitivity have been helpful. I do understand those who do not believe it is a compelling upgrade as the differences are subtle. Still it is a well built and solid camera that gives excellent results.
