It certainly sounds like Canon's thought of everything, and it mostly bears-out in practice with the 5D Mark IV exuding confidence and delivering great results whether shooting stills or movies.

High quality stills packed with detail and good dynamic range., 4k and 1080 video with confident subject-tracking and refocusing., 61-point AF system inherited from 1Dx Mark II. Great Live View focusing too., Large touch-screen allows you to tap to refocus and navigate menus.

Dual Pixel RAW files offer very mild adjustments., 4k video employs a very tight crop similar to APS-C in size., 4k video employs a very high bit rate., No log profile, no 4k over HDMI, no focus-peaking or zebras., Screen doesn't tilt - less convenient for live view and movies.
The Canon EOS 5D Mark IV does bring some enticing new features to the fore, but arguably it’s the new 30.4-million-pixel sensor that steals the limelight. The sensor’s performance at high ISO, combined with its radically improved dynamic range, makes it markedly better than the EOS 5D Mark III when...
With the EOS 5D Mark IV, Canon has further refined its semi-professional full frame all-rounder. With a solid build and improved weather sealing, faster burst speed, increased resolution, increased dynamic range, updated autofocus system and Dual Pixel live view functionality, the Mark IV will be as...
My expectations were that the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV was going to be at least as wildly successful as its predecessors were, but that expectation was not very hard to realize. The Canon EOS 5-series cameras have become synonymous with value and versatility.
I only do high school sports indoors and outdoors and motorcycle motorsports such as motocross and GNCC racing with the 70-200 f2.8. I do not do portraits or staged pictures with lighting so read this review with that in mind.
This is a MACHINE. The touchscreen is amazing with all the controls there. The image quality is superb. High ISO is great. ISO 12,800 and even 16,000 totally usable. I have hardly delved into the touchscreen use but a friend did and he loves loves loves it.

support software is lagging behind because it is so new. To Canon I suggest rather than make software reverse engineer just give them the specs up front so they can launch with the product. It will make your launch better. The battery grip for 2 batteries is way too expensive.
I think its a good photo camera, but what I have always loved about the 5D series is the video mode. I've tired this camera my self and took it back. The 4k video mode is terrible. I felt like Canon put it in the camera just to market it but them punishes me for using it.
