If you’ve been following our headphone reviews, you know that we've had good experiences with Audio-Technica’s “SonicPro” line of headphones. We gave broad recommendations for both the ATH-MSR7 and ATH-MSR7NC, even if we did find them a bit bright sounding and had some concerns about creaks coming...

Overall, the Audio-Technica ATH-SR5BT Bluetooth Headphones have much to offer in the areas of performance, with some solid and unique features that make it particularly valuable for its class.
![]() |
The Audio-Technica ATH-SR5BT is a stellar sounding Bluetooth headphone that sounds even better wired. If you're looking for a well balanced pair of wireless headphones that plays nicely with all types of music, it's hard to do better than the ATH-SR5BT.

On-ear headphones which are affordable, stylish and with features including 45mm drivers, atpX and NFC. Here’s our Audio-Technica ATH-SR5BT review.

The Audio Technica ATH-SR5BT ticks the boxes for the customer in terms of audio quality, design and features. And with the added convenience of wireless Bluetooth connectivity and Hi-Res Audio capability when you need it, the product is an even great value proposition.

I have two other Bluetooth headphones to compare these Audio Technica SR5BTBK to - Beats Solo2 and JBL Everest 300. The Audio Technicas have very strong midrange and good highs. Bass is mostly flat and barely adequate.

Strong midrange.

-
Slightly lacking in bass.

This is my Review of the new ATH-SR5BT, of which I have received a pre-release unit directly from Audio-Technica U.S. The unit I have received is anyway fully functional and it is the same exact one which you would receive.

- Excellent Sound Quality, comfortable, small, attractive yet simple design, very long battery life, Hi-Res, cable with Mic, very reasonable price.

-
- Some people may wish some extra loudness and extra bass.

First the good: High quality construction, easy to use, very good sound. The only drawback is the small ear cups.
![]() |
The sound quality was great, not mind blowing or anything but for the price it was perfect. The headphones are on ear, and that ended up being problem for me because the clamping force hurt my ears.

Very quick service product looks good and is really easy to use, just read the instructions

These are excellent headphones. Brilliant sound quality with solid bass reproduction. No problems with connectivity to Wileyfox Swift. Comfortable and easy to use. Excellent battery life.

I have been an AT fan since I bought their noise cancelling headphones. Good sound and good looks

Absolutely fantastic headphones for the price. Exactly balanced and clear sound. Enjoy with listening flac files.

I've had a long history of headphones / earphones, and think I've finally found some which fit (most of) my criteria: 1: Cordless is a must - I can't stand having a cable getting caught on collars / zips.

To be perfectly honest, I can't really tell the difference in sound quality between these and the £15 basic Sony headphones I had before. My music sounds great on both. It might be slightly better on this one but the difference is nearly imperceptible for someone who's not an audiophile (I'm not).
