Great Prices and Great Experience
"I’ve purchased two TVs through Greentoe, and both experiences have been excellent. Best prices I could find anywhere, and both TVs were delivered right to my door without any issues.
My only mistake was forgetting that Greentoe offers a lot more than just TVs! I recently purchased applioances elsewhere and afterward realized I should have checked Greentoe first.
Greentoe will definitely be one of the first places I check before making a major purchase. Let's get the word out, and let the free market dictate prices. Craig Barton Scottsdale AZ"View article

Happy consumer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After the sparks flew in my old over the stove microwave, I knew that I needed a new one. I wanted a name brand that has been around a while and that would fit over my stove. I started my hunt for a replacement at several large home appliance stores. I settled for the Amana for a number of reasons. It was just one inch lower than my old microwave and the amount of wattage was just under twice what "old spark" had. Which has altered how I cook and warm things in the new Amana. It takes less time to reheat left overs as well as making my tea. I now can boil water in 2 minutes instead of 5.

Happy, But with a Minor Annoyance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this at the end of February 2024. I was happy with the looks, the price, and the name. It looks and works great, but I am not happy with a couple of things. First, the SOUND of the alert signal is horrendous! the tone is raucous; almost sounds like it's caught between two different notes - neither here nor there. It's like when your ears are clogged from having a cold, and you can't hear clearly. Second, the manual that comes with it is skimpy and doesn't give enough information, eg. what's that gray plastic thing up in the corner? I never saw that before on other microwaves I've owned.

Great Microwave!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this microwave a month ago. It is so large on the inside, which makes our options wide open, for anything we might need. It seems to heat everything quickly and properly. The only thing I wish it had was the option to push numbers 1 thru 5, and it turn into 1 for 1 minute, 2 for 2 minutes, etc.. The Reheat button and the Defrost button, I had to call Amana to get the specs on. It only tells you, in the manual, to select the number for the food you want, but doesn't tell you what number goes to which food, etc.. Other than that, it works well, and for the price, we are happy with our purchase.

Simple but functional...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this about a month or so ago to replace a failed unit that was going to be more expensive to repair than just replace. Pretty basic microwave with pretty basic controls. It worked flawlessly for the first couple weeks, but then the beeper started making more of a buzzing sound than pure beeping. But it still works. (If it gets ANY worse, I will call in a warranty repair.) Funny but with its very basic controls it does a better job on m/w popcorn than the significantly more costly unit it replaced. Only time will tell how well if holds up under the fairly heavy use it will get in our busy kitchen.

Very happy with the features.
I purchased this microwave back in 2017. I have been very happy with it through the years and used it often. However, as noted by others, the door switch seems a bit sensitive. A couple of weeks ago, when I started it, an extremely loud vibration and noise came within and it stopped working. An awful burned electrical fire smell filled the kitchen. I went to the store where I purchased it and actually found this exact unit. I was elated that I didn't have to modify my cupboards and install a new mounting bracket. All is well now and I am back to using my new, fully functional microwave. (But I do wish I could have gotten 10-years out of the old unit)

Unexplained features
The defrost feature is basically useless. Where do I find the food code? The user manual says to enter the food code and then the weight. And now I need to keep a scale in the kitchen to weigh the food I'm defrosting. My old GE microwave simply asked for a defrost time. The light underneath to light up the cook top is also horrible. I replaced the bulb with a LED bulb that will not shut off. I end up sticking a magnetic under counter light so I can see what I'm cooking. Otherwise is works. Also I haven't figured out how to use the other features because the "User Manual" is useless. Sadly probably my last Amana appliance.

Mediocre
We had just bought a renovated house and this brand new microwave came with the house. After 8 months the microwave started showing "door" on display, keep running with door open and turn off completely.
I had a licensed tech come in. He changed the fuse in the microwave. We tested it and everything was running fine. The same thing happened the next night. "open door" was on the display and would keep running with the door open.
I bought a new amana and kept the old microwave. The other night it started running with the door open.... Im sensing a failure in the near future.

Another “Mediocre” experience
Our unit (only the model ending in “pfb”) which I’m guessing stands for “black” came installed in the new home we purchased in January of 2017. At first it worked just fine but then, about 3 months ago it began exhibiting the same symptoms as in the “mediocre” review, i.e. getting the “door” message, the light flickering or not coming on, and finally...not working period. I don’t know if other owners have experienced these kinds of problems or not...but we just can’t go on without a microwave! It would be hard to recommend this model to a friend at this time. We’re disappointed.
