I am still learning to use and program my tablet and pen. That is harder than actually using it! As far as I have gotten, I love the Wacom Intuos Pro and Pen.The biggest problem with the process has been navigating the website.
Got this for my husband, who wrote this review: I have tried for months to get used to this tablet, after having been a wired Intuos Pro user for ten-plus years. I wanted a small wireless unit, but had no idea that the driver would need restarting so frequently (the pen gets jittery or unresponsive...
Wireless makes this the perfect tablet.
Perfect for compositing and painting Very happy with it.
As an amateur photographer I only use a few of the seemingly endless options of this tablet - mainly for retouching in conjunction with Capture One - works great. As everyone says, it will drive you nuts for the first couple of weeks if you havent used one before.
I recently got this item for use in Photoshop. Ive been looking forward to it for a while and was challenged when it came time to set it up. The packaging is top notch. Wacom did a great job with the unboxing experience. However, the installation could have been better.
I had a Wacom Intros 3 for over 12 years and I loved it. Upgrading to a new Mac mini meant that it was no longer supported :( I tried the medium tablet but found that the small was very similar to use and £100 cheaper. The online support is excellent.
On a dual display on Mac, there is a persistent bug that renders the unit useless. When moving the pen to the 2nd display, any clicking or use of the pen prompts the cursor to jump and snap to the left boundary of the 2nd monitor.
It never wakes up after my iMac goes to sleep (I use it connected via USB 100% of the time)I have to restart the computer, unplug and replug the Wacom, and several different things to make it wake up again. The product doesnt work as expected. When it works, its great.
I love my Wacom tablet. It allows the control and detail work that you simply can't access with a laptop's touchpad. Worth every penny if retouching or digital drawing is a common practice for you.
