The ViewSonic made a reasonable start in benchmarks. Its contrast level of 1,361:1 is great – only behind a handful of other screens. That result was generated with a reasonable black level of 0.21 nits, which means that darker shades will have plenty of depth and variation.
Decent core benchmark results, AMD FreeSync included, Good input lag speeds
Poor uniformity, Wobbly stand, Awkward OSD navigation
The VX2457-mhd can handle games with ease, especially if you have an AMD-enabled FreeSync graphics card. We were pleasantly surprised by its good colour accuracy, but viewing angles aren't great. However, the low price goes some way to making up for this.
Ghosting is pretty bad when it comes out of the box, fortunately i was able to change some settings in the monitor to reduce the ghosting quiet a bit but still had some ghosting. Basically change VIEWMODE to Standard and RESPONSE TIME to Advanced in the settings.
- Decent colors for TN Panel - Good brightness - 75 Hz smooth @ 2MS - Freesync (Makes game super smooth) - No noticeable input lag
- Cheap built-in speakers, sounds flat. (I don't really care about this, bought this for the monitor not for it's speaker) - Ghosting is an issue with this monitor (See below for more info)
I bought two of these monitors to pair with my Dell Inspiron laptop to finish my dissertation. I should have done this sooner! Large screen space makes researching and writing easy.
Replaced a 10 year old flat screen. I do some gaming with it and the picture is a lot sharper & cleaner. The game mode on it just brings the picture a little brighter, I don't think it's necessary and prefer tp play in regular mode.
Son likes it for gaming! No compliants!
Great monitor for the price. Everything is crystal clear. Most important- my wife loves it.
it going strong great 1080p
Not great, but definitely not bad. Perfectly suited.
Super pixely, could never get it to 1080p because I guess even tho it says I can do 1080p it clearly won't let you. Everything's stretched out. It's not very clear and what I mean by that is i can see the pixels... it's not crystal clear
The colors are amazing and the setup is nice only thing that would make it better is a remote.
Was re-furnished purchase - can't complain for price i got it at (replacing 8/9 year old monitor that was dying), just one dead blue pixel around where the top part of left V is in the screenshot sample of monitor.
