The Alta Pro 2+ is a remarkable tripod great for landscape photographers. Pros: Quick to set up and adjust on the spot for quick composition changes Multiple leg angles help with rough terrain and windy stabilization issues. Not too heavy but strong and durable.
I've used this tripod for at least a few years and I'm very happy with it. It's always been stable and you can set it up in a wide variety of configurations. I bought mine used with a pistol grip but I've since switched to a ball head. Switching heads is very easy.
Stable, sturdy, good flexibility, good size
This tripod is very sturdy and I love that its simple to use. It allows me to change to a horizontal position very easily and I have the ability to get very close to the ground. Looking forward to capturing the stars in my upcoming trip.
If you want a heavy duty tripod with exceptional build quality and overall versatility - this is it. I have been using the Alta Pro 263AB Pro for two years. Living on a sub-Artic tundra with high winds and extreme weather conditions; you need tough gear. The Alta Pro 263AB 100 is the K-3 of Tripods!
Stability, Kit includes excellent Ball Head, Low Angle Photography, Load Capacity, Versatility, Value for the money
I have gone through a few tripods eventually the frame having issues. this one feels as good as it works. It's beautiful and works perfectly.
Really easy to use and provides many options for presenting the camera at different angles, including looking down and from a very low point.
Ive had it for the last 2 weeks. Used it on 6 jobs. It seems to be pretty legit. Super durable. Good legs. No movement. I would recommend. I also like how I can use it in so many versatile ways. So far 5 stars. Cant see it ever being ever under 4.
Very pleased with how Vanguard handled a complaint with this product. A couple months after I left my review citing the faulty thread spacer, Vanguard contacted me that they had updated the tripod to remedy my complaint and offered to send me a replacement.
First, as a professional photographer, I am challenged almost daily as I try new things or take on client projects which require innovative solutions. Because of those considerations, I need an arsenal of weapons in my bag. One of the many are my tripods.
