With the Tokina 20mm f2 FiRIN AF review being done, I really do wonder why it didn’t have weather sealing. I’m going to continue to harp on this because I feel like this lens deserved it. Just taking the same optics and adding autofocus is sort of lazy.
In terms of optics, focus speed, accuracy, size, and weight, this lens gets 5 stars. The only knock against it is that the focus is loud and jittery on continuous focus. Not suitable for video if AF is important to you. Despite that, its one of my most used lenses on the Sony A7RIII.
Is a good option considering the price, AF little noise but is ok. Sharp. Well made. Color is black matte. Lens hood difficult to use.
I shoot Travel Photography and found Tokina Firin 20mm F/2.0 a very versatile lens. Travel, Lowlight, Night, and Astrophotography enthusiasts will be very happy that this lens came about.
Sharp wide open, excellent resolution. Comparable, comes with AF and cheaper to the Loxia 21.
