From the lab test results, the Tamron SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD looks like a very convincing contender in its class. If we limit our comparisons to super-telephoto zooms which reach at least 400mm and weigh in around 2kg, it offers the longest maximum focal length without hugely compromising...

I’d say that the Tamron 150-600/5-6.3 is the best value you can get in a telephoto zoom. It is sharp throughout the focal length range with good contrast. It has no direct competitors, but even if it only had the 150-500mm range, I’d still say it would be a very strong contender for the best value...

I purchased this lens in January of this year to replace my 100-400L IS, I read multiple reviews rating it over the 100-400L and after seeing the images several members of a photo group I belong to were capturing with full frames, I pulled the trigger.

I've only owned this lens for a week, but I've waited 7 months for it to ship after pre-ordering, so I thought I'd get some info out to you sooner rather then later. This lens pairs extremely well with my Nikon D7100 and is sharp to 500mm wide-open (well f/6 anyhow at 500mm).

Sharpness is pretty impressive, especially for such a long zoom. Vignette is kept pretty low. Lateral chromatic aberration is kept reasonably under control. For the money its a good deal.

you'll get the very best results shooting at F8-F11, but that probably won't be very practical for such a long lens. heavy lens not something you want to carry around all day.

Bought this lens for taking pictures of shore birds in Puerto Rico and love the results. Would have been nice to purchase a similar yet faster lens but would have had to spend 3 times the money. Fast focus and crisp pictures.

I use the Tamron 150-600 mm lens extensively for bird photography to document rarities and produce photos for programs. It is good for how it is structured and the price. Due to high minimum F Stop good light conditions are necessary for quality photos.

Tamron has great sales support and terrible (after sales) customer support. I contacted them with a problem on May 21, 2015. They asked me to send some information and to this day August 30, 2015 they have not contacted me by email or phone.
