Defective unit and painful replacement process
Sound quality and noise cancellation are excellent, but my unit developed a strange issue, faint background audio bleeding through even when nothing was playing, with no clear cause after multiple troubleshooting steps and a firmware update. Sony support confirmed it needed a replacement, but the process was a hassle: I had to purchase a shipping label myself, print it out, and drop the package off in person. Now I'm looking at roughly two more weeks without headphones before a replacement arrives. For a premium-priced product, I expected either better quality control or a smoother, more customer-friendly replacement process.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy with this sony headphones!! The sound quality is amazing, It’s so soft. The material is so soft and the features is great. You can skip or pause by clicking with your finger. It is so comfortable and has great noise cancellation. The design is so neat and stylish it has a clean look. The best thing about it is the cup is big and it didn’t hurt my ears. But the only thing concern about is the case holder is kinda big. Yet it is stylish and neat it has a magnet inside to hold your charger. Overall i am happy with it . And highly recommend it.

Absolutely amazing noise canceling headphones
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sony 1000XM5 Noise Canceling Headphones are truly amazing. The sound quality is like no other it’s crystal clear and you really can hear the acoustics unlike other headphones. They are light weight and fit very comfortably on my head the ear cushions don’t smush my ears.
The battery life is another wonderful feature, the headphones can last me days before needing to be charged. The noise canceling aspect is perfect you can’t hear a thing when they are on. This is great when you want to tune out or have to focus on something and can’t be distracted.
Sony these are amazing!!

They are noise canceling, easy to use, Bluetooth, and the best part is if you move them off your ear, it automatically pauses your stuff. So no more having to stop and pause manually which helps especially for my job. I'm love they come with a really nice case, easy-to-use, and carry anywhere. You will love these . The quality alone is so good. Just love them. They last forever before you charge them. The best I say for sure. Obsessed!!

They charge quickly and work so well that my husband had trouble using them to talk to clients because it was weird hearing himself. I did accidentally hit the subtle buttons a few times and the matte finish show fingerprints easier then I'd like but over these are amazing! My mom's begging to use them on her overseas trip.

I love these. They're so comfortable, great sound quality, and noise canceling is top notch. I love these new colors and shape, comparable to beats and apple but for much less. Just excellent value. The buttons take some getting used to, but after rereading the instructions I've gotten them figured out. I've worn them on a 4 hour flight and was comfortable the entire time. I like the pass through sound, being able to toggle back and forth is great. They're easy to connect between my work laptop, my phone, and my personal devices. Great sound quality of my voice when on the phone or on zoom calls, no tin sound quality or anything, no echo.

Arm snapped after just over a year of light use
I am honestly pretty peeved about this - I paid these headphones off over a year, and as soon as I did and the warranty expired one of the arms cracked and they’re completely unwearable because they don’t fit right anymore. I had the XM3 version of these previously and actually still have them, although the noise canceling no longer works, so I’m really disappointed in the quality of these. Their build is significantly cheaper and less sturdy than their predecessor. And the only option for repair is to send to a third party - who will charge you whether or not they can fix them. I’ve been a big Sony fan for years but I will be switching companies.

Very comfortable, large case
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first pair of over the head style head phones and I’m shocked at home comfortable these are. There is slight padding at the top of the head and the ears are very nicely padded. The noise canceling is pretty impressive. To get the full ability to optimize you will have to download the app. Out of the box there is a setting that pauses your music if you start talking, the ability to turn this off is easy to do in the app. The only negative I can see is that because these headphones don’t fold the case is very large. They sound great and you can dial in whatever sound mix you want in the app.
