When it comes to listing well-known names in the audio industry, Sony is often one of the first companies to come to mind.
-
+
Excellent app functionality, Fantastic build quality, NFC connectivity, Strong Bluetooth connection, Great volume (fills a house), Good light show functionality, Easy to use, Portable enough, 24-hour battery life, Water and dust resistant

-
Muddy sound quality due to massive bass, Live mode isn’t that great, Can be difficult to connect multiple devices at once

The Sony XB41 is a great speaker for anyone who needs something durable, loud, and will last you all day. Despite its flaws, it's still a great option for anyone looking for a speaker to bring to the next backyard barbecue.
-
+
Better IP67 build, Sleek design, lights and all, Battery life
-
-
Lower mids lacking in clarity, Live mode sucks, Apps need work, Being connected to two source devices can cause weird issues

Sony SRS-XB41 is the party animals’ dream speaker. Here is our review of the SRS-XB41....

If small speakers could do everything we wanted, then large speakers wouldn’t exist. But the fact of the matter is, a smaller design has a huge impact on the kind of sound you’re able to produce from a speaker.

It’s a bit of a shame that we’re under lockdown, since Sony’s XB41 EXTRA BASS portable speaker really calls out for a party. The XB41 falls in the same category with the likes of JBL’s Xtreme 2 or Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3, providing BIG sound from a relatively small body.
-
+
Decent sound for party or indoors, extra lights, waterproof, strong battery life
-
-
Gimmicky features such as drum tapping on the side, LIVE sound not that impressive,

While you certainly wouldn’t go wrong picking up the Sony SRS-XB41 - especially if you’ve got plans for a day at the beach - there are other portable speakers on the market that cost a lot less and sound much better than Sony’s $249.99 (£200, AU$240) beast.
-
+
Strong build quality, Water-resistant, 24-hour battery life
-
-
Light show sync issues, Recessed mids, BIG bass, Live Mode lacks detail

The Sony SRS-XB41 is a Bluetooth speaker designed for the average bass-head and that is what it does well. It has an IP67 rating meaning it can survive being submerged and the nylon mesh feels very premium.

Very well constructed with IP67 rating, LED lights are definitely fun, Decent battery life

Bass can get overpowering at times, Battery life could be better, Heavy

Portable speakers come in a wonderful array of sizes, shapes and colours, while also wide variance of audio quality. Sony’s latest portable bluetooth speaker is the SRS-XB41 which offers performance, simple connectivity and resilience in harsh environments.

2-step mobile app
Easy to set up and download the apps, sound is great and has good bass. Looks awesome and battery lasts a long time. I got the black one and I love it! To yet the best out of the product I recomend downloading the two apps by Sony so you can fully customize your listening experience.
Product is easy to set up and the Sony app is quite good. The volume can be cranked up to the max without breaking out and the bass is very deep even playing at very low volume during bedtime. Really worth the money.
I love these speakers. They sound pretty good. The lighting is a nice touch with different lighting modes. They also have a cool feature where if you hit, bang, or drop the speaker it makes a wacky thump, or symbol sound. I like that its covered in a woven fabric. Pros: The sound.
This is easily my favorite portable speaker. Bass can be overwhelming at lower volumes. Sound is clear all the way up to its max. The lights dont sync well with the music, but still are cool. The sony app isnt the most intuitive, and some of the "party features" are gimmicky.
These clobber the other speakers out there - extremely good sound quality that's the same direct wired with a 3.5 cable as with Bluetooth - it crushes the Harman JBL bluetooth speakers & having the LDAC codec rocks.
Likes - EVERYTHING Dislikes - Nothing It is loud. Like noticably loud. Like noticably made with quality parts. It is super clear with punch and perfect amount of bass. It has many features and modes. It can pair many sony speakers together. It lights up. This thing is 100% awesome.
❤️ love, love this speaker! Best Bluetooth speaker I've ever had. The battery life is phenomenal, the sound is amazing and the bass rocks! I tested several models and brands and this one far exceeds it's competition! Can't wait to buy another and link them together
This speaker slaps, plenty of bass offered through the compact design. I live the colored lights addition to the speaker and it really brings life to the area whether you’re hosting a party, or listening to music in the shower. Also love the fact that it is water resistant.
I enjoyed using this portable wireless speaker. So far, I haven't had any trouble with it and I like the flashing lights that I can turn on or off when I feel like it.
This speaker is everything that I have been waiting for in a portable speaker system. The size depicts that it definitely packs a heavy punch. Being a lover of the beach and water, I simply love the waterproof feature. The sound quality is superb when compared to powered speaker boxes.
