No viewfinder, LCD difficult to see in bright sunlight
The Sony Cyber-shot WX500 (and HX90 ), is the smallest digital camera available with a 30x optical zoom lens. The camera gives bright colourful images and is easy to use, as well as being quick, with a fast continuous shooting mode.

Lacks front grip, Noise in all images (although not too excessive at ISO400 or below), Competitors are available for less
Compact cameras with 30x optical zoom are becoming fairly commonplace, but the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX500 stands out from the crowd by being noticeably smaller than the competition.
Like the Sony HX90 and Sony HX90V announced at the same time, the Sony WX500 is a 'travel compact' camera aimed at people who want a relatively small, light camera with a large lens zoom range.
I currently own four Sony digital cameras: an Alpha 55, A7, DSC-HX30V, and now a DSC-WX500. I bought the WX500 recently because the view window on my HX30V was losing the emulsion finish and it was getting difficult to see an image being framed.
Takes good quality pictures.
Amazing to get so many features on a camera this small, especially the 24-720 (?) zoom! Haven't bought a camera for some years, the last being a cheap Kodak and one of those Go-Pro copies which is so wide angle you can't take a pic of anything without it being distorted!
I am very pleased with the performance of this camera. would recommend it to friends
I bought this a couple of weeks ago. Great camera in itself but not easy to link to app for wifi
Brought one of these this in April and had it for approximately 6weeks, after the most gentle knock whilst in my bag, the lens was stuck out and the camera it's self would not work at all! After sending it to Sony they proceeded to tell me that it would cost £307 to fix!
Got this camera for Christmas and I love it! Very good camera for video and photos.
