Sony has gone a long way towards addressing the issues many reviewers identified with the α6300. The deepening of the buffer memory will please sports shooters as well as bird and animal photographers as will the improvements to the stabilisation system.
Am comparing with the Sony Nex-7, of which I own 3 bodies.I dismiss DSLR cameras as inappropriate for my purposes. Film SLRs and DSLRs are too bulky and weighty, even APS-sensor DSLRs, to be carried when photography is not my sole purpose of travel and recreation.
I'm still learning all the awesome things this camera can do but I love it! I take a lot of action baseball and football shots of my sons and this is perfect!! It keeps them in focus while they run, bat, tackle, etc! I've only used video a couple of times, but the quality is great.
Most notably in-body image stabilization, touchscreen control, and a faster processor that makes the camera considerably more usable for fast-paced shooting. The focus -lock is amazing, 4K Videos and pictures are stunning. My first Sony camera and I am very mpressed
Good camera, good detail. Planning on using it on vacation in a couple of weeks.
I was very satisfied with the a6000, but the new a6500 is like a new camera. The sensor seems to be much better at handling noise. You can get decent pictures even at the high ISO levels. The stabilisation works well and the other features sure work well so far.
Without repeating what has already been said in reviews, I agree with the positive remarks. I bought this camera hoping to benefit from rapid focus and in camera stabilization when using a the Tamron 150-600mm F/5-6.3 lens with an adapter to shoot wildlife hand held when necessary.
I love the size and quality of this camera
This camera is amazing I didn't think it was going to be this good. I come from being an all time canon user for years and doing the switch to Sony was a big move for me. I really enjoy the switch I made. This camera is perfect for video and photos and slow motion too.
This maybe one of the best do all, runabout cameras I have ever used. Image quality is excellent, autofocus is spot on and fast. The video quality is excellent. I don't know why everyone complains about the menu system being hard to use, I don't have any issues with how its laid out (there is a lot...
In love with this camera, as a world traveler it is best as it's so light and easy to carry. The quality is Super..bought two lenses with that.
