+
Most affordable Sonos entry point, Sounds great, Easily transitions between Sonos and Bluetooth connections, Qi wireless plus USB-C makes charging easy, Rugged without looking ridiculous
-

Sound Swap and stereo pairing only work in Sonos mode, Battery life falls short of Bluetooth-only rivals, Price premium compared to Bluetooth-only speakers
The versatile Sonos Roam can easily be moved between your home speaker setup and the great outdoors, though you're paying a premium for convenience over audio quality.
-
+
Solid audio performance at moderate volumes, Works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice control, Streams via AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi, Waterproof design
-
-
Mono output, Digital signal processing can overwhelm the audio at high volumes, Not as loud as similarly priced speakers
The Sonos Roam is the most focused, calculated product from Sonos yet. It’s a small $169 speaker that’s meant to compete with portable Bluetooth speakers that people so often carry everywhere without a second thought.
-
+
A truly portable Sonos speaker, Supports AirPlay 2, Alexa, and Google Assistant, Rugged design that can endure the elements, Wireless charging

Sound Swap needs work, Battery issues with Google Assistant, Sound quality isn't amazing
Purchased the Sonos Roam for background music on a family vacation in a large cabin. All day battery life. Basically connected itself with the app. Easily filled the room with sound...and surprising sound quality from something the size of a tall beer. Certainly did not disappoint.
I was surprised by how rich the sound quality was coming out of such a small speaker. The Trueplay feature is also a nice touch: you can actually tell the difference if you take it outside, move it to a different room, etc. I take this with me everywhere now. Highly recommend.
This is a great portable speaker with great bass for it's size. Wireless charging was a great idea for this this speaker!! This is the only speaker I know of with wireless charging!
This is a great portable bluetooth speaker that you can connect to wifi when you're home. It's not a particularly thrilling addition to an existing Sonos system, however.
This speaker is powerful and works seemlessly with my other Sonos speakers, it’s also very clear in sound.
The Roam has Sonos expected sound quality (5 star), only negative I have is regarding the battery standby. Once you charge the Roam, it starts up and begins draining the battery life when not is use. You basically need to keep it plugged in the whole time. I preferred my old Bose unit to the Roam.
Great speaker, top end sound amazing unfortunately the bottom end bass lacks little. Connection very easy and works well with existing Sonos speakers
great sound quality and pairs with other sonos products
The Sonos Roam is a good, little portable speaker. Has wireless charging and easily integrates into bigger Sonos setups.
The sole purpose of paying extra for Sonos was for it to operate with my existing Sonos system. This thing runs off a totally different app and in not compatible. Absolute rubbish.
