The Sonos Beam offers shockingly powerful sound from a slim, unobtrusive soundbar that, when paired with Amazon Fire TV devices, offers considerable voice control for home entertainment.
-
+
Great sound, Elegant, simple design, Reasonably priced, TV voice control with Alexa on-board, AirPlay 2, Google Assistant coming
-
-
Still no HDMI pass-through, No Dolby Atmos support

The Sonos Beam has a lot going for it. At the top of the list, there's Alexa, which brings smart-speaker functions into your living room. With the promise of Google Assistant and AirPlay 2 on the way, this speaker won't become obsolete anytime soon.
-
+
Easy set up, Alexa inside, Wide soundstage
-
-
Bass lacks detail, No Bluetooth audio

A smart soundbar from Sonos
-
+
Fantastic sound and fantastically easy to use

The new Sonos soundbar is compact but delivers expansive performance. From what we've heard, this small soundbar is a winner. Just a shame there's no Dolby Atmos support.
-
+
Compact size is ideal, Sounds great for both music and TV/movies, Multiple voice-assistants supported
-
-
No Dolby Atmos support, Not great at lower volumes, Expensive when adding additional speakers
![]() |
One of the best performance-per-pound products Sonos has produced, the Beam is a blinding little soundbar
-
+
Impressively open, spacious, three-dimensional sound, Surprising bass weight and depth, Simple setup, Compact and stylish, Usual Sonos music streaming and multi-room capabilities
-
-
A little bright and sibilant at high volumes and with poor audio, More HDMI inputs would be nice
The Beam like the Playbar and Playbase before it are purely to output sound from your television. If music sounds good then that is a bonus. All Sonos TV products sound great but only on one soundstage and that is Dolby Digital.
