Very light and compact, easily attaches to my backpack. The Sirui ball head is fine for lighter lenses, some folks (me) may want to try a different head, which I didwith my Induro head, non ball type.Worked out fine with my Tamron 70-200, F2.8.
I bought this set up a number of months ago to get a lighter travel tripod. At this size, the carbon versions shaved off very little weight and added a lot to the price. It sets up quickly and is well made. The ball head works well, though the panning knob is too small for my taste.
I needed a really small tripod to fit in my airline carry-on. The first one I bought from a known brand was such a piece of junk, I gave it away before returning home. After reading reviews, I bought this Sirui T-004X which was smaller, as stiff and just about as lightweight as a carbon tripod I was...
Perfect lightweight and very stable tripod. Used it on a few hiking trips so far and it's been doing incredibly well.
easy to transport , very light and stable, excellent value
