Sigma has finally come up with a modern mirrorless design for a super-telephoto lens with a 4x / 150-600mm zoom range: They managed to make it much lighter, optically better, and also cheaper than its predecessor - not a small feat!
The Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports lens offers plenty of zoom power for capturing distant action, and is built tough for use in rough weather.

Only works with L-mount teleconverters, Small f-stop isn't great for low light, Limits Sony a1 and a9 continuous drive speed
A combination of fast operation and AF and very good quality results has resulted in a beautiful lens. It is heavy, but manageable, is very easy to use and it locks on to the subject virtually every time.

Very good sharpness levels, Vey well-controlled central CA, Modest vignetting, Modest distortion levels, Fast, quiet and accurate AF, Options of zoom operation, Beautiful bokeh, Virtually no flare, Effective 4 stop OS, Moisture and dust resistance, Reasonable price
a beast
Very good quality and the price was excellent taking advantage of the £150 off offer. Using it for wildlife and air shows. It is heavy though so a monopod or tripod will needed if using all day. Service from WEX excellent as usual too.
Purchase this lens for my S5 and extremely happy with sharpness and autofocus feature

The fact its range of focus is vast. This is a great piece of kit and I've found no faults or issues so far..
The main reason I bought this lens was to reduce the weight of my set up. I was using the 150-600 sport Canon mount version which is much heavier. Big improvement.

Great image quality, very well made, everything is smooth when focusing, feels nice in the hand, comes with tripod mount. It has various settings that can be assigned to lens, although I have not explored this yet. Pound for Pound it is outstanding value.
