The mic is very precise with the sound, you may have to cut out some of the lower end frequencies with it, depending on how close you are to the mic and how deep your voice is. That was the only issue that I had when using this mic. I didn?
I wanted to get some more live sound equipment so I purchased a few of these SLX series mics. I got a couple handhelds and a couple body packs. I am moving into the Shure mics after years with Sennheiser, but Sennheiser is definitely my go to for video and closed-circuit recording.
The Shure sm58 microphone is a stable solid Dependable tool. It provides a well-rounded sound for virtually any voice. You can always count on it to provide a good balanced tone. And no matter what it goes through it still keeps working!
Not much to say. This is original equipment and it fit perfectly and was a perfect replacement for my missing grille. It should last for many years like normal Shure items.
It's been around for ages. It worked well then and it works well now. It's as good as you can get for a basic utility voice/instrument mic.
The only Mike to use live. Period.
Great mic, stands the test of time.
This microphone is excellent. My mother purchased it so she can be able to practice songs for her voice lesson she has with June every Friday.. she is really enjoying practicing her voice lesson with the microphone.
I've used a number of types of vocal microphones for singing live over the years. I also mix for my band, listening to the house mix in one ear with a Shure SE215 in ear monitor. When a new member was added to the band he used a Shure SM58 microphone.
SM58 is the vocal standard.
