Rokinon/Samyang's first auto focus lens for Canon (Sony was already covered), the AF 14mm f/2.8 Lens, jumps right to the top of my all-time Rokinon/Samyang lens favorites list and onto my short list of 14mm favorites.

For the most part, I can’t really put the Rokinon 14mm f2.8 AF at fault. There were a few inconsistencies with the autofocus that I experienced at the start, but they went away really fast.

Expand your imaging capabilities with the ultra-wide-angle view provided by Rokinon's AF 14mm f/2.8 AF FE Lens for full-frame Sony E-mount cameras. This optic is quite fast for its class with an f/2.8 maximum aperture which will help users work in low-light conditions.
I bought this knowing about the sharpness falloff at the edges of the image. The center portion of the image is extremely sharp with a gradual falloff of sharpness going to the image edge. I accommodate this by simply treating this as a 15 -16 mm focal length autofocus optic.
I'll start with how partial I am to wide lenses and having that ability to see a focused view of the moment you are capturing... Now the issues... There are no straight lines anywhere, I don't mind for nature photography and creative angles but if you want to shoot a photo of a friend...
Good quality!I needed a bright, wide-angle lens for landscape photos. My hesitation was between the new Sony 12-24 f/4 G or a Prime, fixed. What struck me about this lens was its 2.8 aperture, the 14mm, as well as the various reviews found on the net, even with photos.
Sharp especially after f5.6. It took me a while to realize the sharpness is good when shooting indoor because the a6500 IBIS does not recognize the 14mm thus not working correctly. You need to set up IBIS as manual, detail failed. Auto focus is a little slower than native lens, with a little noise.
After several exchanges of the Rokinon 14mm 2.8 manual focus I decided to give the made-for-sony autofocus a try. While I don't use the autofocus, I will say that this lens outperforms all 4 copies of the manual version in edge and corner sharpness and distortion by a wide margin.
