If you're looking for a sports-first smartwatch then there's a lot to admire about the Vantage M (leaving the V model for much more advanced users). As a lifestyle smartwatch it's not so great when it comes to features - no music support and notifications aren't great - but, ultimately, it all boils...

Lots of sport support, Great Polar Flow environment, Training programmes, Comfortable
-
-
Heart rate sensor a bit hit and miss, No music support, No payments

The Polar M430 was a great but ugly wearable. The Vantage M fixes its looks and keeps most of the functionality
-
+
Much better looking than the M430, Solid performer, Good battery life
-
-
No notifications (yet), Hidden thick bezel, Not the brightest colour screen

It’s more expensive than the older M430, but the Vantage M is a powerful multi-sports training tool that packs in plenty of additional features that make it worth the investment. With a much-finessed design, more accurate wrist-based heart rate and bucket loads of training insights, there’s plenty...

Lightweight, More stylish design, Big battery life

No music, Running power needs additional sensor, Can be slow to sync

If you are willing to work through the issues and update the watch as the releases are available this is a good choice. I upgraded from my A370 to get the built in GPS and I'm glad I did.

Still really a "beta" product - updates are coming but some noted issues:Heart Rates below 40 read as "not worn"GPS is accurate enough for me but not "spot on"Minor issues with the software

Gear functions as expected. Good performance. Have not tested in water yet.

Nice well designed watch, but as with all wrist heart rate monitors it doesn't work well with any exercise involving arm/ wrist muscles (eg rowing, ski erg) presumably due to skin/ muscle movement under the sensor.

Love my Vantage M, it took a few weeks to have enough data to report on accurately, works flawlessly with the Polar H10 HRM, some bugs remain in the Flow App, contacted Polar, hopefully will be resolved soon.

The watch is easy to use with clear dials which are easy to read. I have got the lime green strap which I find more comfortable and more stylish! The only slight niggle I have is that very occasionally the sensors lose my pulse, but this is only for a few seconds.

This was bought to replace a Polar A300 and also serve as a watch for everyday use as well as a fitness tracker. I use it when Nordic walking where it appears to be accurate in terms of distance calories etc.

Bought Polar vantage a month ago at 239u20ac ( Thanks Chain Reaction ) , and my impressions are quite good, really ! Light, easy to use, on the run or anything, you can check ( easier than M430 )your heart rate, speed and distance, thanks to the color screen.GPS included works as well as the M430..

evertything was as the told, order online and i got the watch on time

The Polar Vantage series is just a masterpiece! From the new Polar Vantage data display which is just beautiful, like the easy to read Rainbow HR zones (Primate trichromacy), the on-off highlighting with wrist turning and most importantly the Polar Vantages has the most HR sensors of any consumer HR...

So this watch has stiff competition. No arguing that. Polar Flow is a fantastic platform that can be used to really get into running properly, and I think without considering the strengths of the software, you can kind of look at this and say why not just get a Garmin X or Apple Watch?
