Pentax smc DA 70mm f/2.4 Limited is yet another Limited pencake lens Pentax designed for the exclusive use with its APS-C type SLR bodies. The lens was introduced back in 2006 and went into mass production around the end of that year.
This lens is incredible. Mounted on a K-3, this lens is a killer, I used it mainly for portrait and close-up. At f/2.4 or even 2.8, the bokeh is wonderful and the details great. It is well build for a DA (actually a new HD DA type in Ricoh/Pentax arsenal).
Easily Interchangeable, F24 Constant, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
Don't be fooled by it's little size. This is a fantastic piece of glass; great bokeh, excellent image quality, comes with hood, front and rear cap, a nice bag to keep when not in use and a brief instruction manual. From first shot you will know that you have an awesome lens.
Sharp lens, small size is not as intimidating as most portrait lenses. Very neat extending hood, it can be removed by unscrewing from the filter threads, or you can screw on a filter and then reattach the hood. Small size means you can always have it with you in the bag.
