The Panasonic Lumix G Vario 14-140mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH. Power OIS lens boasts a long 10x zoom range with surprisingly few compromises in optical quality.
Optically stabilized. 10x zoom range. Very little distortion. Good center sharpness through range. Quiet, snappy focus motor.
Some edge and telephoto sharpness issues. Pricey.
With this update of the LUMIX G Vario 14-140mm F4.0-5.8 ASPH Power O.I.S., Panasonic offers a much smaller and lighter version of its kit lens, which has a smooth and silent operation mode and looks perfect fitted to the GH3 and G6 LUMIX cameras.
This new 10x zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds system cameras, is an update to the existing lens, which is essentially the same specification, except that this lens has a marginally faster aperture throughout the zoom range.
I just received this lens a few days ago and am still learning what it can do. I shoot both photos and video, but mostly concentrate on 4K video. So far, I'm impressed with the clarity, focus speed and zoom range on this 14-140mm lens.
This lens is sharp. Period. Specially on the sweet spot, somewhere between 5.6 and 8, more than enough for me.For me the whole idea of smaller sensor systems is to be light and mobile so a lens this small with that reach is great.

Great range for the price, my only issue with it is the zoom ring is tough to rotate. It feels like there's a lot of friction which causes it to bite when you're zooming slowly. I don't know if it's because I haven't used it enough yet or what (have had it for a few weeks).
