I did not believe that such a small sensor as 4.7 x 6.2 mm with 16 Mpixels (3456 by 4608) could be very good. The TS30 proved me wrong, or at least not entirely right. Out of the box, the camera can produce decent, if not great, photos at low ISO ratings.
I've used this camera a few times and think it's got potential but only as a second camera. It's taken some decent photos along with plenty of bad ones and realize I've got plenty more to learn about it.
Great camera I got for my daughter. The underwater ability goes with her new interest in snorkeling. Small enough to carry with her anywhere and easy to shoot a picture.
the camera is really ok... but not for me, I will use it because I spent the money and have no other camera.... but it lacks clarity .... close up is not as close up as I would like it to be.... but it takes pictures :)
I did a lot of research and was still hesitant when I purchased this camera. Just took it on a two week vacation and was so happy with the quality of photos and video. The camera is small - so it is convenient to carry around but still takes good quality images.
I used this camera for 1 week in the Bahamas. For $140 it gave me a lot of joy and fun. It takes really good pictures underwater and normally. I used it in the pool and in the sea. Max. 10 ft underwater. It worked amazingly! I highly recommend buying this camera.
Found this to be a very good snorkeling camera - it's tiny and doesn't get in the way. Good battery performance too - much better than I read about/expected. I kept it on for about 30-50 minutes at a time, taking about 120 photos on each trip, and did not have to replace the battery (though I did...
I lvoe this camera, I have a habit of dropping cameras so this is what I needed. One short drop so far and works like a charm.
I bought this Lumix TS30 camera to replace the same one I purchased a year ago. I dropped the previous TS30 on a concrete floor which resulted in bending a metal cover surrounding the on/off button. I was able to turn it on & shoot photos.
Great camera, works excellent underwater and dry.
