I did not believe that such a small sensor as 4.7 x 6.2 mm with 16 Mpixels (3456 by 4608) could be very good. The TS30 proved me wrong, or at least not entirely right. Out of the box, the camera can produce decent, if not great, photos at low ISO ratings.
I am purchasing my 4th Lumix waterproof camera. They take good pictures and are easy to use but they don't last long. All of mine have quit working after about a year and half. I sure wish they worked longer!
Great camera I got for my daughter. The underwater ability goes with her new interest in snorkeling. Small enough to carry with her anywhere and easy to shoot a picture.
I purchased this DMC Camera as a snorkeling camera. I used it on two separate trips -- and the picture quality was fine. One the second snorkeling trip -- I used it over 4 days. After the 4th day -- the camera stopped working...to the point where I couldn't even turn it on.
This camera works fine. It has many features that I use. Focus did ship this ahead of schedule which was nice. One thing to note is that I ordered the blue one because it was $8 cheaper than the other colors. Well when I opened it, Focus had shipped the red one.
Other reviews complain about problems with water damage. If you follow the directions and make sure you check the seals on the edges this little guy will give you great pictures and video. Battery life is pretty good too
Lovely camera, my only gripe is the playback volume of videos through the built-in speaker! Pathetic!
The camera works pretty well except I always had crooked horizons.. As a beginning photographer I blamed myself and kept working with it. Now I finally noticed that when I line up the horizon with the screen markers, the camera sits at a distinct angle! Looks like the sensor is mounted off angle!
Good little camera. Just wish it had a better macro feature. Some of the pictures appear to be a little red.
Pictures are dull and lifeless. Disappointing since I have owned other point and shoot Panasonic cameras that had amazing photos
