I did not believe that such a small sensor as 4.7 x 6.2 mm with 16 Mpixels (3456 by 4608) could be very good. The TS30 proved me wrong, or at least not entirely right. Out of the box, the camera can produce decent, if not great, photos at low ISO ratings.
Stopped working after just a few weeks - couldn't handle being used at the beach. Might be fine for occasional use, but for frequent water/sand proof use - get something else.
Great camera I got for my daughter. The underwater ability goes with her new interest in snorkeling. Small enough to carry with her anywhere and easy to shoot a picture.
The image quality from this camera is mind-bogglingly terrible. The photos are almost useless, they're so bad. I didn't think cameras this bad were even made any more, it's worse than the quality of digital cameras from 90's.
bought a second one for my business, works great
Compact, tough, easy to use and great pictures or movies.
This was my second Lumix camera and I purchased this to replace one that I had lost during a swim. The fact that I bought the exact same thing as a replacement should indicate that I liked this item quite a bit.
I bought this as a camera to have for trips with the family. We are active and I have ruined cameras from sweat when cycling etc. I thought it would be more robust as a water proof camera and handy in a light weight body for travel, such as backpacking trips.
Not overly impressed with the picture quality and the zoom. I had to be pretty close to the picture subject to get a good picture.
I am purchasing my 4th Lumix waterproof camera. They take good pictures and are easy to use but they don't last long. All of mine have quit working after about a year and half. I sure wish they worked longer!
