I originally purchased this to combine with a 300mm f/2.8 VR, but I have yet to purchase that lens. In the meantime I pair this teleconverter with my 70-200mm VR I with results that are satisfactory for me. It's a great combination as I save for the 300!

I recently completed field testing the "new" TC-20EIII 2x teleconverter. I have never been a fan of Nikon's TC's, but have to acknowledge when someone improves a product (and improves it this dramatically). Nikon is going to make a LOT of photographers happy with this product.

I have not had the opportunity to really test the Teleconverter in varied conditions but in my few tests in the backyard I am very pleased with the retention of image quality.

I have found this AF-S Teleconverter TC-20E lll to be very effective when used with lenses that have f stops at 4 or larger. I found that this teleconverter when coupled with the older Nikkor AF-S 80-200mm f2.8 D lens on the Nikon D500 to focus quickly and accurately, even in lower light situations.

A good doubler to extend the range on a lens.

This teleconverter is extremely sharp and gets the job done. Luckily I did have a lens that was compatible with it. It's my own fault for not doing slightly more research to find that some nikon lenses are not compatible with this device. Be sure to check before purchasing.
