I received this as a kit lens with the purchase of a D5300. This is a great lens, color rendition is perfect, focus is tack sharp, zoom range is great. Works perfect as a portrait lens in the 70mm to 140mm range, at iso 100 and F8 will easily make a 20x30 print crystal clear.
I bought this lens with the D5600 lens kit and I have loved it ever since. Although this is not a Vibration Reduction lens and people might think it is a cheap lens, it is the opposite. Very good for fast action shots and any other genre from a further distance.
This zoom lens is powerful but lighter in weight than ones I have used before - which is good! I have since bought a lens hood and UV filter, and a cap keeper so I won't lose that lens cap anytime soon. This lens is sharp, quick focusing, and it makes it easy to frame a subject.
In use for sports photography, does well for outdoor field sports (Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Lacrosse). Glass is too slow for indoor use. Lightweight, functional photo quality is good, autofocus could be a little faster but not a significant determent.
I attach this lens on my Nikon D7200, the focus is fast, the image is sharp. Don't feel need VR.The weight is light, make my life easier. This is best 70-300mm lens for the quality and price.
i have several of these, and they are for the most part, worth whatever they cost.. except for the one I am reviewing. I just think this one has been lying around and you wanted to get rid of it. It is slow and hard to focus .. not happy. but i already sent one back.
bought lens for use on a Z6 until Nikon comes out with a longer S series lens. Works great with 3 axis stabilization in camera
Distance and depth were provided
This lens is superb. Was amazed with how crisp the photos turned out. Great price point as well.
Arrived days before expected. Clean and perfect. Took it out the next weekend and got some stellar Stellar Jay pics.
