One glance at the final result of our test, the dimensions and weight of the tested Prostaff 7s 8x30 and its price and you know that you deal here with one of more interesting options at a price point to 250 Euro.
handy, comfortable and physically light casing,, sensible transmission for a cheap roof prism device,, good colour rendition,, moderate astigmatism,, slight coma,, imperceptible brightness loss on the edge of the field,, good sharpness almost across the whole field,, high quality BaK-4 glass prisms.
narrow field of view,, a lot of reflections near exit pupils.
Bought these for a trip to Africa. Perfect combination of size, weight and performance. Large enough to be bright and small enough that you will take them everywhere. 30+ years in photography so optics matter to me. Nikon builds a great binocular. You won't be disappointed.
Perfect for hunting great vision. Great glass. I will only use these when hunting.
Purchased for an Alaskan Cruise. Prostaff 7s 8x30. For ship use, do not recommend going above 8 magnification. Lens size of 30 was a compromise, but would not go smaller. Best compromise I found between size and optics. Happy with brightness of image.
These are magnificent. Don't know why I've struggled with the old ones for so long.
Great little binocular (8x30) nice bright, clear image without being to big and heavy to walk around with.
ideal just what I needed Light weight and good optics
Light, not too big with bright viewing and good magnifaction. I started with cheaper binoculars which were inferior in every way and returned them for a refund. The lense caps problem mentioned by a reviewer is now resolved!
Really great product, good quality, great focal lens - can't fault it.
Fantastic pair of binoculars for the price. I have several pairs of pocket binoculars, that I thought were reasonable, but recognised they were cheap binoculars. The real thrill is when you compare the view with the cheaper binoculars with the Nikon Prostaff - no comparison.
