This works perfectly on Fuji X-T2 after upgrading to FW 1.1. HSS and TTL works flawlessly and the exposure is correct up to 1/8000 shutter speed. Almost no compensation is needed in most situations. The build quality is excellent. Though it is made of plastic, no cheap feeling at all.
Love this flash - solid and much smaller and lighter than my SB700. Very intelligent and intuitive user interface. It has a metal locking hot shoe foot, and off-camera usage is xlnt. The cons are minor, and include: - no manual included - you'll have to find the Metz website and download the manual.
The build quality is excellent. It's a joy to use with the quick andintuitive display. The zoom feature works with latest OMD EM1ii. Turning off AF illuminator in camera turns off flash AF illuminator for the flash. Solid communication. Output and TTL are on point.
Works great with my a6300. Nice and compact with enough power for stills and fills. Compact with a low profile look great with the a6300 and doesn't make the camera too top heavy. Used it for 2nd shutter drag and the images were great.
A half-price alternative to the newest Fuji TTL flash unit. Initial impressions are very good. Build quality is excellent. Metal flash shoe a plus. Flash head rotation and angle movements work well. Bounce card and wide angle diffuser do their job.
I have the Olympus version that I use with a OM-D E-Mark 5ii. After updating firmware, every function works great - on camera, as slave and master with Olympus flashs. Much more power and flexibility than Olympus 300R but still small. Very happy.
Firmware v1.3 still has not fixed the GN Mode problem. However it did add an open flash option (hold down the Mode button for a few seconds).FWIW, I also use the M400 (Nikon version) on my Oly Pen-F in manual mode.
Nice flash. Very easy to use on my Fuji X-T2. The battery compartment door is a bit odd. I hope it will last.
I have been looking to replace my Panasonic Flash with cracked Plastic Hot shoe post. This flash looks and feels sturdy. So far, no problem with TTL or Auto flash modes.
Metz has verified that the Guide Number mode is not functioning properly when used in Feet setting. This will be fixed via a firmware update in the future. Workaround is to use Meter units; or better still, use Manual mode which has the same function as GN mode - i.e.
