Experience with this washer for almost 5 years
I have this washing machine for almost 5 years. It works very well. One of my favorite features is the pre-wash cycle. If you have really dirty clothes, you can use the pre-wash before it goes to the main wash.
The drain filter is excellent to have. I checked this every month and I clean it out every month and I love the tub clean cycle. I use it every month with a alfresh tablets. The washer never let us down my brother trusts this washer then the laundry mat

Good machine, with some quirks.
I have had this machine for almost a year. Does a good job.
However, there are two issues.
One, for Normal wash the cycle time comes up as 29 minutes. LG documents state it should be 45-49 minutes. The total cycle time changes to 45 minutes if I adjust the cycle speed to highest. Service person stated that the 29 min. "is in the computer" and he can do nothing about it.
Two, at the finish of the wash all the clothes are piled up in the rear half of the drum. Having that distribution during spin decreases the machine's ability to extract water. Again, service person stated that is the way the machine is designed.

Regret this purchase
I did extensive research before purchasing and went with this model because of the great reviews. That was a mistake. I have had the washer for less than a month. The clothes are soaking wet at the end of the cycle. I have to run a separate spin cycle after every load and they are still too wet to put in the dryer. Often times there is standing water in the bottom of of tub. The unit was professionally installed less than a month ago so I do not believe it is an issue with the drain hose. I have followed all of the trouble shooting steps and the issue persists. I do like the app and some of the features, but I regret not sticking with the brand I used to own.

Good product, terrible odor when brand new
ThinQ washer was delivered 06/20/2024. As soon as it was unboxed and the washer door opened, it emitted a horrible acrid smell that irritates the throat, filled the whole downstairs with the stench. We've never had a new appliance smell so awful. One month later, the odor has dissipated somewhat, however it's still there. We've tried the tub clean cycle with bleach as a service tech suggested, but the odor remains, albeit much less than new.
This is a five star product if not for the terrible odor. In our opinion, if you or your family have asthma, you may want to consider a different brand, as it definitely aggravated my wife's asthma.

This is what I got rid of my Speed Queen for?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having utilized this washing machine for approximately one month, I must express my profound satisfaction with its performance. It has been remarkably reliable, devoid of any operational issues. The washing process is remarkably efficient, and the machine operates with minimal noise.
The sole exception to this positive experience is the absence of a drum light. This oversight by LG is a notable deficiency. Despite this minor inconvenience, I wholeheartedly recommend this washing machine. Notably, its cleaning capabilities surpass those of my previous top-load Speed Queen washer.

FRONT LOAD VS TOP LOAD!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my washer for a year and there is always a surprise 1st you have to DRAIN IT or it will do it itself all over your floor, 2nd the MOLD around the rim of the door is RIDICULOUS, constant cleaning after each use NO I'll do it later! 3rd it SHAKES the FOUNDATION to the house causing STRUCTUAL DAMAGE! 4th Now it has ERROzr codes IE if it isn't the water valve then it could be water pressure not enough for the washer to do it's job. Like really I didn't buy it on clearance or a second store "USED". At this time I should have went with a TOP LOADER! Learned from my MISTAKE.

I just bought an LG washing machine and I've barely started using it, but it's working very well. I hope it continues to work like this for many more years. It's good quality. My dryer is the same brand and I've never had any problems with it for several years.

Best Washing Machine Ever!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Sears Front load washing machine before and always battled the mildew smell and no matter what detergent I used, fabric softeners, additives, my towels always smelled old. I even threw away perfectly good towels because I cools the get them to smell clean. We’ll, one wash on the towel cycle and my towels smell so fresh. I just can’t explain it. And I no longer need to use the second rinse cycle which I used on every load before. Not only are my clothes smelling cleaner, they look cleaner and take half the time to wash! Oh thank you for making such a wonderful washer!!!!
