Had this model for a month and it is working great. Love the feature where it comes on to check the room temp and then it decides if it needs to run. Not real quiet but it’s not bad. I don’t believe any air conditioner can run quietly. It is quieter then the portable one we had and works better

The unit is surprisingly quiet and very effective. Mounted in a hallway window it easily cools the hallway, my office and a bathroom. easy to install. Insulated panels that go over the accordion mounting side curtains are a nice touch especially when the window unit is not removed for winter.
I live in a house that's over 100 years old. No central A/C and radiator heat (which is awesome). I have purchased my 3rd LG window AC unit for a guest bedroom. The other two I've purchased take care of the rest of the house - which now feels like it does have C/A!
Works well in terms of cooling but it is really loud. I didn't expect it to be so loud. It's kind of annoying if you are listening to music or watching TV or even trying to have a conversation.
This was the first LG product I have ever purchased and that was three years ago. Since then I have purchased two more LG air conditioners and an LG smart TV. I have no complaints at all. I would put the LG products up against any other manufacturers product and the LG product would come out on top.

Compact, quiet, powerful, more than adequate for the 300 SF room it is cooling. I considered larger units and more expensive brands, and correctly chose this one. It gets the job done.
Purchased this a little over a week ago. It is the only air conditioner on the 1st floor of my home. The 1st floor is around 800 sq ft It cools off about two and a half rooms which is more than I expected (I have 4 rooms on the first floor along with a long hallway.
We love it. Purchased for our master bedroom so we don't have to run the central air in the entire house during hot summer nights. Simple to use, fairly quiet, blows cold! The installation can be tricky depending on your window but there's a lot of resources out there to make it work!

The 8000BTU LG air conditioner keeps our entire 850 sq. ft. apartment pleasantly cool; since we purchased it for the bedroom, I have not run our old, secondary unit in our living room once, because the LG generates cooled air so efficiently.
This unit is much quieter than the comparable GE AEL08LV model. We originally purchased the GE AEL08LV model at the same specs and price. After 60 days it started having a very loud vibrating noise every time the compressor kicked on. We took it back and got the LG LW8016ER model to replace it.
