I purchased two of these units for my elderly Grandparents. The two existing units were the exact same model. They’re 91 and 94 years old and were used to the controls and remote and change would be difficult. They’re also very brand loyal and believe in the LG units for durability and trust.

I've had this AC for about a month and use it most evenings. I mounted it "through the wall" which is a good idea because it's quite heavy. I use it to cool about 1800 square feet and it does it with ease. Plus, it's exceptionally quiet. Great unit.

Maybe a little noisier than I expected. It is installed solidly. I can live with it. Cools nicely.

Bought this air conditioner a couple of months ago and we are very pleased with the performance. It cools our house very quickly (amazing). Installation is not easy because it weighs so much. Wish that they offered a kit to install on vertical sliding windows.

AC model LW1816ER often doesn't blow any air at -- not even warm air. I've unplugged it for 10 minutes, cleaned filters, tried everything. Was working on and off and now doesn't work much at all. I have two of the exact same units.
