LG's entry-level OLED TV doesn't compromise picture quality.
The LG B8 has spectacular image quality, second only to LG's more-expensive OLED TVs among models we've tested. It delivers perfect black levels, superb uniformity, wide viewing angles, accurate color and a great bright-room picture. Its striking design features a super-slim panel.
It can't get as bright as competing LCD TVs.
This is the TV to buy if your first priority is picture quality. It's simply gorgeous. It has a lot of other little quirks though, and why it only gets 4 stars from me:Firstly, WebOS is weird. The remote works more like a mouse from a computer - you move a cursor on the screen.
Amazing Picture QualityAmazingly Bright BrightsAmazingly Dark DarksAmazingly Bright Brights while next to Amazingly Dark Darks! HDR For Real!Amazing Picture Quality, Really. (Far better than standard panels, and noticeably better than QLED too. OLED technology is amazing.
See Above.WebOS - Limited Smart TV Application/Channel SelectionPower and Menu Button is on the rear - this works well depending on how the TV is mounted, it may be very problematic depending on installation. In My case, I have to swivel the TV out of the way while using it.
Great picture. Love the features. Wonderful design. Thin and easy to handle. Still discovering all the features of this TV. Highly recommend this TV to everyone interested in a fabulous 4K Television!
Features/Settings, Performance, Quality
I love the sharp vivid picture, however, the remote seems to unpair on it's own quite frequently. In looking online, this appears to be a known issue. Makes using the Smart Features a hassle.
I am having trouble with the interface. The magic remote when I choose guide, doesn’t click on the show I want without triple and quadruple clicks and then at times it awitches to god knows what channel instead of the one I clicked too. Voices need to be more immediate and not load for so long.
If you want one of the best pictures out there than get an OLED TV. I have only had this TV since Sept 17th, but so far I am really impressed with the picture, I turned the energy saver to off and set the picture to Vivid, to me that is how you get the best and brightest picture.
Style/Design, Performance, Quality
Inside of 8 months the screen had image burn in. Suggested procedures did not work and now I am told it will not be fixed.
