Wanted to add a second monitor but couldn't fit two in the space available. Then though of simply getting a bigger monitor and the reviews led me to this. Totally pleased with the result. The picture is great (I do photo work) and the screen affords me room to have two windows side by side.
I use an active mini-DP to HDMI for my 2012 Mac Mini in my home office, and this monitor is perfect for home office use. I would say go curved if you can and you want to have three applications open at once - I think the 21:9 would be more comfortable for long-term use - I would have, but I believe...
This the first LARGE monitor I've owned. It's like having two monitors in one. Ican have full images open at the same time and enjoy the normal size of each. I'd definitely reccomend this monitor to anyone wanting to upgrade their computing experience.
Style/Design, Performance, Quality
The Pros: - It's cheap. If you want to try a wide monitor, consider this one! - The picture is not bad. Text is crisp, and I've used higher DPI monitors. - The audio jack means you only need one line into your PC. The Cons: - I wish it was a bit brighter. It's by no means dim though.
The monitor has a great view en colors. You're able to use two or three program screens, at he same time. A 4k monitor for your computer at home, is'nt necessary.
Style/Design, easy to use
Super large - extra wide field of view. Picture quality is excellent for general office work (MS Word, Excel, PPT, video conferencing, web surfing, etc.). I am particularly love the ability to partition the screen into multiple screens to allow separate windows for different programs and...
We've had this monitor for awhile and it is great for Video Editing as you get so much space for your timeline. We have several throughout our office and they work magnificently with no issues so far.
This monitor is IPS and excellent for using with spreadsheets and large amounts of data. No more problems with eye strain and lots of room for multiple documents at the same time. Photos and videos also look very good on this screen, but the crisp text is amazing compared to non-IPS monitors.
Instead of getting two separate monitors I decided to get this extra wide screen from LG. I am very happy with my decision. Picture quality is excellent. I love the extra wide screen which allows me to work on two Excel Worksheets at a time. Watching movies and gaming is incredible on the monitor.
Style/Design, Features/Settings, Performance
I like the size of the monitor, it was larger than I expected. It wasn't easy connecting my MacBook Air. I had the proper wires and was using the correct port. It's possible the connection wasn't tight enough. A previous reviewer was correct, contacting the company or LG was a joke.
