I got this to replace my 20-60x80 AL*** scope I've had for several years. I use this exclusively for birding..I'm as happy as I could be with the clarity. Excellent glass quality. No more heat waves, and it really is high contrast and like watching in HD.
Bought this for wife who is avid birder. Overall its a nice scope for the money. Purchased 20/60X eyepiece to go with it. She mostly uses the eyepiece in the 20x to 40x range as more light is needed in upper range to get clear picture. Scope is mounted on Manfrotto Tripod with video fluid head.
I needed a lightweight, compact scope for birding to take along on my bike or for hiking. Optically, this scope has excellent resolution. Coupled with a 30x fixed eyepiece you get a generously wide FOV. At this price point you can't do better.
