This is 1.7 cu. ft. capacity over-the-range microwave oven is designed for adaptation to three types of ventilation: Recirculating and Vertical or Horizontal outside exhaust. The oven features 10 power levels for cooking flexibility. With its "Weight and time defrost" option the oven automatically sets the optimal defrosting time and power level based on the food weight, the option also gives the ability to set your desired time for defrosting.

Drop in replacement for my old GE unit!
I bought this model because, according to the installation instructions, it was similar to my 20 year old GE microwave that had failed. I wanted to utilize the existing wall mounting bracket and the exhaust fan outlet from the old unit. Everything fit perfectly, making this essentially a plug and play installation. The new microwave is great and I especially like the LED display - the old plasma display was getting dim and hard to read. The new unit has all the features I need except there is no night light feature which could have been easily added with a little bit of additional software. Oh well, that's a minor gripe. Otherwise, the unit is great and serves my needs quite well!

replaced GE microwave after only 3 years
we bought a similar product about 3 years ago, and that it just stopped working. The appliance repair person indicated the mother board died. the cost of replacement would be about the cost of a new appliance. We like G E, but were very dissatisfied with the fact that after 3 years GE provided no partial repeat to our buying a new GE microwave. The repair person indicated that products manufactured during COVID had much less quality assurance, and that was likely the reason for the early breakdown of the prior product. Hopefully this new microwave will last longer.
the technicians who installed in the microwave were excellent, very courteous and helpful.

Sleek look
I purchased this to replace a kitchen aid over the range microwave( about 14 years old). Although my other appliances at this point are not GE, this one was the best rated and had the features I wanted, as well as fit the dimensions of my cooking area with the backsplash. The handle style matches my other appliances the best and the finish of the stainless steel as well. I have had the microwave for about 2 months now, and I love it. Sleek, easy to use, good size and features.
I had a GE Profile Refrigerator for about 11 years before I had to replace it and it was a great refrigerator. It is a brand that I trust.

Easy to use
Although it is easy to use, there are many options for cooking by weight and time, express cooking or selecting time and power options. I don't cook full meals in a microwave so I am happy to be able to reheat leftovers, heat liquids and defrost. This microwave has all the features I was looking for including an option to turn off the turntable to fit a large cooking vessel. Very similiar to the model I had for 26 years with a few more features and I expect I will have to be careful cleaning the outside so I don't scratch it as lots of black plastic that shows scratches, the only default I can find.

I really did not want to have to part with our previous Spacemaker microwave but the product is no longer available. So we settled for this microwave, which just isn’t the same. The keypad looks like it is missing buttons, but it isn’t. The carousel plate is much smaller. The microwave is louder. EVERY dust particle can be seen on the surface. The blue clock light is SUPER bright to the point where it illuminates the entire kitchen in the dark. The vent fan has less functions and the surface light doesn’t have a night light setting, guess we don’t need one with that bright time display. Unfortunately, there is no way to dim it. I’m not particularly fond of the microwave but it does the job. Oh, it was also dented when we opened the box.

Received this as a home warranty replacement of my higher quality GE Profile Microwave. Have to say that it lacks the same quality as the handle is plastic feeling and seems to be made of lower grade materials. Would have given it a better rating if it work properly. From day one, it has not functioned as it should. Taking numerous attempts before finally operating. GE Repair folks are coming out this week so we will see what they can do. Disappointed in this item, as I had held GE in high esteem based on my previous purchases.

Worked great for a limited time
I moved into my brand new home last March and my microwave stopped working July 23, 2019. Shortly after my warranty expired my microwave did a complete blackout. I need to get this serviced but am very disappointed in a new product not working after less than a year and a half of minimal use. Sad part was it heated the food quickly and I liked all the features but with such quick failure, I do not recommend this product.

Working great so far...
Installation went smoothly, just a couple of minor glitches. The online and paper installation guides had the wrong method of opening the carton; the carton itself said to use a different method, which involved slicing open the entire carton a half-inch from the floor. This was tedious. Switching the blower orientation was easy. The charcoal filter was included and already installed. But there was NO paper Operating Guide included! The unit is very quiet in operation, and the large display is easy to read.
