Great Prices and Great Experience
"I’ve purchased two TVs through Greentoe, and both experiences have been excellent. Best prices I could find anywhere, and both TVs were delivered right to my door without any issues.
My only mistake was forgetting that Greentoe offers a lot more than just TVs! I recently purchased applioances elsewhere and afterward realized I should have checked Greentoe first.
Greentoe will definitely be one of the first places I check before making a major purchase. Let's get the word out, and let the free market dictate prices. Craig Barton Scottsdale AZ"View article

Unreliable - lasts less than a year
Originally purchased in January '20. Stopped working in 6 months (June '20) - no heat in dryer, occasional E11 errors. Took 2 months to get a service appointment (understandable - COVID-19 related delays). Authorized service person came and said he needs parts that are not in stock. Another 2 months of nothing happening. Finally, after 4+ months without a dryer, GE replaced with a new one (exact same model) in September '20. This replacement unit lasted a little longer. Broke down with exact same issue (no head, occasional E11 error) this week (July '21) after 9 months of light use. Now I am tying to contact GE again. :( :( :(

Dissatisfied buyer from
Defective new product from the day of installation
The product was defective from first use. Have had the appliance for less than a week, first load and a terrible noise came from the machine. Took everything out and ran the machine empty, and the noise got worse. Noticed the machine is dented on one side and this could be causing friction on the drum. The noise is unbearable and of course the disappointment is grave because we bought a new product that took a month to receive and then we got this. Extremely annoying and dissatisfying. It will take another week for service to come and assess but what we don’t need the machine to be fixed. We need what we purchased, a brand new functional machine.

Required a repair immediately
This dryer looks nice, is easy to use and it mostly works. However, immediately there is a squeaking noise mostly the entire time the dryer is running. Had to have service come out and of course, they need parts. Now have to wait at home on two different days and of course, they only give you a 4 hour time window. This is a recurring comment that I've seen on many of this model. Then there's the "Cotton" cycle which barely gets any heat and is useless. Then there is the problem where it takes a sheet and rolls it into one big ball which thumps and does not get dry! UGGG! This is very annoying aside from the reliability issues. It's expensive as heck for what you actually get.

Service in TOP NOTCH *****
So far so good ! Considering it is a GE product, looking forward to years of dependable service. I can not say enough about the installation process and service. Technicians are the BEST, installed the units in less than 30 minutes, and without any prompting reversed dryer door to accommodate the ease of use in the water closet. They could NOT have been more professional or accommodating to my situation. If the units are as good as the service, I will be a happy camper for years to come. Right now I could NOT be happier with the dryer or the service ! I hope your competitors are taking notes, THIS is how it should done. FIVE STARS *****

bad door latching sensor
I have purchased 3 of these dryers for rental properties that I own. The first one worked fine--nice and quiet and I like the chunky dials that turn smoothly. But the second and third ones I purchased both had something wrong with the door latching sensor. Specifically, they both displayed a "door" error code and would not run at all after I installed them. I am waiting for a technician to come fix them, but I am reading now in other reviews that this is a common problem with this dryer. GE messed up the engineering on this crucial aspect of the dryer.

Not as good as its companion washer.
The good is: it has all the features you expect from a modern dryer of this price range.
The bad is: it is very noisy! The AC hum noise coming from this unit is far more than you would expect. In our single-story home it dominates the ambient house noise, and is far noisier than its companion washer, which is pleasantly quiet. I think the product development team could have easily isolated this noise. You might not mind it down in the basement (which we don't have).
Also, it doesn't seem to dry clothes as thoroughly as expected. The heavy duty cycle works best. It rotates the drum both ways during the cycle, which is a good feature.

Compact Yet Mighty!
My home has limited clearance down to the basement where regular sized washers and dryers physically could not be brought down by professionals. I was forced to search for the compact washer and dryer options, and found a great deal with this unit. So far I have had no issues and everything is drying well in one cycle. Energy consumption seems to be as expected, which for being compact means I need the right level of performance. The only issue I have observed so far is the noise, but this is due to the stacking on top of the washer, and a particular resonance which was dampened by 90% simply by storing my inflatable mattress on top. Would recommend!

My New GE Dryer Does Not Function.
We received the GE GFD14ESSNWW dryer on October 23 and installed it. It's a LEMON. It functions erratically. The light inside goes on and off. Three times it has completed a drying cycle, but usually it quits mid-process. It can be restarted but quickly pauses. Sometimes it flashes DOOR but still can be restarted. Presently (Nov. 13) I spend wash day afternoons at the local laundromat drying our clothes, waiting for a repair. It's a LEMON. Shouldn't GE send a replacement?
