The Fujifilm Instax Square SQ10 is an instant film camera married with the convenience of a digital camera, but it's not without compromise.
The Fujifilm Instax Square SQ10 uses a new square format that offers larger prints while keeping the camera relatively compact. It's a digital camera letting you shoot and print only the images you want, and you can add filters or a vignette before or after you shoot.
Its low-resolution digital photos are mediocre and highlights blow out easily. The camera's controls and menus are unintuitive. There's no wireless connection for sharing or printing with a mobile device. Film packs are pricey.
The Instax Square SQ10 is a new type of instant camera, blending digital capture with true analog film output, but images are difficult to share online.
Makes square instant photos. 3.6MP digital image sensor. Bright f/2.4 lens. 28.5mm wide-angle field of view. In-camera filters and editing tools.
More expensive than purely analog instant cameras. Instax Square film is pricey. No way to save filtered digital images. Printing from other cameras finicky.
The SQ10 marks a big step in the Instax story - it's not just Fujifilm's first instant camera to use the new square format prints, but also the first to employ digital capture. Digital allows you to compose and review images with a screen, the chance to only print the images you want (and when you...
The Fujifilm Instax SQ10 comes across as novelty product for those who want an element of nostalgia into their casual photography efforts. However, if you are well accustomed to the luxuries of 21st-century technologies, then the Instax SQ10 makes no sense being in your bag at all — it’s slow and...
A new kind of instant camera that’s not quite there yet
Solid build, Fun to shoot with, Printing photos is a delight
No connectivity, Most expensive Instax film yet, Digital image quality is rough
When the first ‘Polaroid’ type camera came out it was the camera equivalent of sliced bread. The models were big and the quality of the image was not that great but to see the image immediately was what people wanted to have.
The latest Instax Square SQ10 is a hybrid instant camera that combines digital imaging capabilities and has got the ability to print photos instantly. It’s an eye catching camera, and everyone noticed it during my visit to the magnificent Jama Masjid in Old Delhi.
As certified retro junkies, we have to admit that we love instant print cameras. They’re fun to use, they’ve got a very artistic appeal about them, and there is no shortage of options on the market. However, there is one problem. Consumers are forced to make a choice.
Fujifilm's SQ10 is the first digital Instax camera, and the first to use the firm's new square format film cartridges. But does the mix of instant and digital make for a smarter instant camera, or a less satisfying experience than simply using either a traditional digital camera, or an analog...
The Instax mini 9 takes over from the highly popular Instax mini 8 and now adds a number of easy-to-use image settings as well as a selfie mirror. The Instax mini 9 is now available in Cobalt Blue, Ice Blue, Flamingo Pink, Smoky White and Lime Green for S$139.
I think its awesome! I like the product highlights so much different from instax8. I liked it!
I like square thingy for the film the best idea! Just like instagram pic but its already developed. And then the effects are already built in. Then the timer for the shot is awesome too to take a selfie. And of course the micro SD Card is the best idea!
Nothing more to say to be against to this new instax 10. Everything is fine and awesome!
Good camera, good prints, sonetimes the filters look great on the lcd screen but when the film develops its much darker then what previously shown wad going to print. Otherwise works great.
I know cameras, I love cameras, I have many (too many) and this for me is a fun camera. This isn't the camera you buy for your kids (although you could), this is Dad's or Mom's camera. A nerd's camera. It produces beautiful photos in square format photos harkening back to the Poloroids of yore.
IT should off come with a pack of paper for the price.. you should of seen my childs face so happy but disappointed no paper
Great mix of instant and digital features, I would highly recommend this.
This camera knocks my old fashioned Polaroid cameras out of the park! Being able to take the pictures digitally, edit them if necessary, save them and only print select photos is priceless, saves a lot of money, and guarantees perfect results, all the while capturing the original Polaroid charme.
My order arrived earlier and in good condition. Love the product, I can't wait to take awesome photos with it. Film size have the same height with the regular instax film but only square for this one. Must really read the manual for more techniques.
