The Fujinon XC 50-230mm f/4.5-6-7 OIS is a good performer in relation to its price level. The results are mostly sharp in the image center. The corners aren't quite as snappy in the upper range but let's be fair - you don't tend to place the main subject of your scene into the extreme corners...

At this price, you should be happy to get a mediocre telephoto "beginner" lens. You get so much more than that! Sure, the construction is all plastic, including, unfortunately, the mount.
This lens is value for money. Considering it's price and it's above average performance it is worth an investment. Low light performance isn't the greatest but still acceptable and beyond the focal length of 135 mm sharpness decreases.

The lens worked well for a wedding shoot. Delivered excellent results that would rival high end professional lenses. Took no time to get use to distances. Shop around before making final selection. Price was reasonable as well.
