With its fifth generation, the Fujifilm X100V finally fulfils the ambition and promise of the original concept. Since day-one back in 2010 it’s delivered one of Fujifilm’s X-Trans sensors in an attractive compact and retro-styled body with a fixed lens, hybrid viewfinder and virtually silent leaf...

We were expecting Fujifilm to put its latest 26.1-megapixel sensor into the new X100V, but the company has done a lot more besides. The X100V has a new, sharper lens to do justice to the latest sensor and the tilting touchscreen on the back makes this camera much easier to use at awkward angles,...

, which is like Fujifilm standing at the marriage altar of weather resistance and not saying “I do.” But, make no mistake about it; this is a boon for fans of compact cameras. I don’t own a Fujifilm X100 camera.

I’m going to be completely, 100% honest and that that I DESPERATELY NEED MORE TIME WITH THE CAMERA. The Fujifilm X100V seems to be ticking off all the boxes to make this a class-leading camera.
![]() |
With top and bottom plates milled from single pieces of aluminium, the X100V is a tougher camera than 2017’s previous model, the X100F. And the new sensor and processor combination combine to make the X100V a more capable and better performing camera than its predecessor.

You might need to be as rich as a king to buy one, but then the X100V is indeed king of the fixed-lens compacts. Close-up shooting at wide-open aperture settings is still a problem, but the addition of a bracket-mounted touchscreen show that Fuji is evolving this series for the better.

Adds useful tilt-angle bracket for screen, Unique hybrid viewfinder is amazing, Great lens and image quality, It's a camera like no other - in looks and operation
-
-
Lens isn't silent, Close-up focus still has sharpness limitations, It's rather expensive, Should be weather-sealed out of the box (rather than optional kit)

Having come from the Fuji x100f and 20000 shots later that was my favorite camera Now its new sibling in my opinion is 1 10 out of 10 Pros: beautiful sharp lens at all apertures, wide open, low light, sharp very sharp Very quick autofocus great for the street flip out screen for street nice folds...
![]() |
As a happy X100T owner, I felt that the camera only needed three things to make it the perfect street camera: weather sealing, an improved manual focusing ring, and a tilt screen. The X100V has all of the old camera's features, plus added everything I wanted in a new model.

The camera is as good as it gets being much smaller size than any of those giant professional cameras that you need backpack to carry. But more than the size it's the power that's packed in this small size camera.

This camera is a huge update on the F the MK2 lens seems to render much sharper and actually reminds me of my old xpro1If you can afford to get one I am very very happy
