The mirrorless X-T10 is the best camera Fujifilm offers at a sub-$1,000 price point, but its burst shooting duration is disappointing.

  • +

Excellent image quality. 7.8fps shooting rate. Very good controls. Integrated flash and hot shoe. Sharp EVF. Tilting rear display. Solid build quality. Several film emulation modes. Wi-Fi.

  • -

Very limited burst shooting duration. High ISO limited to JPG only. Lower resolution compared with others in its class. Pricey.

On the whole, it’s safe to say that it’s a success – while there may have been some compromises made, the X-T10 certainly fits in most of the best bits of the X-T1’s specification in to a body which, in some respects, is actually nicer to use than it’s more senior sibling.

  • +

Impressive viewfinder; Well-designed and compact body; Host of manual control dials help shooting experience

  • -

Video quality somewhat lacking; LCD doesn’t feature touch functionality; ISO range restricted in Raw capture mode

That's not to say the XT10 is bereft of modern features. It boasts an excellent OLED viewfinder, a 3in tilting screen, built-in Wifi, a silent electronic shutter option and embedded phase-detect AF for surprisingly respectable continuous AF (at least in the middle of the frame).

  • +

Best image quality in its peer group., Great quality viewfinder and tilting screen., Good continuous AF in the middle of the frame., Built-in Wifi with smartphone remote control., Silent shutter option. E-Shutter up to 1/32000.

  • -

Basic movie quality and video capabilities., No touchscreen., No RAW at 100 ISO. RAW starts at 200 ISO., Basic three-frame AE bracketing., Microphone input uses 2.5mm jack.

The Fujifilm X-T10 is a well-built, highly customizable camera with retro-styling and plenty of physical controls. It offers incredibly-pleasing JPEGs, out of camera, and decent Raw files. Image quality is good, in low and bright light.

  • +

JPEGs offer pleasing colors, Good image quality at both low and high ISOs, Ample physical controls make for an engaging shooting experience, Solid build quality, while still maintaining a light weight, Film Simulation modes are practical and a lot of fun to use, On-sensor PDAF provides fast and...

  • -

Buffer during 8 fps burst is very limited, Maximum ISO limited to 6400 when shooting Raw, Face detect and subject tracking in continuous AF too slow and erratic to be useful, Poor video quality, Over-sensitive eye sensor, No touchscreen, 16MP sensor is out resolved by the the many of the X-T10's...

Other specification highlights of the X-T10 include a pop-up flash in addition to a hotshoe; a native sensitivity range of ISO 200-6400 with JPEG-only expansion settings taking this to ISO 100-51,200; a UHS-I SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot (the X-T1 has a UHS-II slot); a maximum continuous shooting rate of...

  • +

Excellent build with traditional controls, High-quality images, Good value for money

  • -

Lacks the weatherproofing of the X-T1, Tilting rather than vari-angle screen, Sensitivity expansion and Advanced Filter options are JPEG-only

  • -

Slower flash sync speed, Record button hard to push, Limited burst speed buffer (7 RAW files), No ISO dial, No autofocus while recording video

Fujifilm's latest ILC for 2015 has been christened the X-T10. With a 16.3-megapixel APS-C X-Trans CMOS II image sensor, EXR Processor II, and 77-point AutoFocus System capable of 8fps High Speed Burst shooting and Full 1080p HD video capture at up 60 fps, the X-T10 seems ready to take on (and best)...

  • +

Switch for easy access to SR+ Auto and all other shooting modes, Dedicated Video Capture Button is always ready to record, 3 setting dials and 2 command dials let you adjust your shooting settings quickly while shooting, Excellent image quality, Great performance from both the AF and Burst shooting,...

  • -

Maximum ISO settings are not really useable, Video recording button was hard to press and start recording, Price is a little on the high end for an enthusiast model

The Fuji X-T10 pairs a 16 megapixels X-Trans CMOS II sensor with a speedy EXR II processor. This capable combination delivers class-leading image-quality when it comes to noise, retention of details and also dynamic-range.

  • +

Extremely low image noise up to ISO 6400, Excellent retention of details and sharpness, Superb dynamic-range, Very reliable metering, Natural image colors, Good automatic white-balance, Excellent EVF, Plenty of direct controls, Excellent build quality

  • -

Autofocus gets slow in low-light, Slow continuous AF, Not Exposure-Priority, No direct ISO control, Video recording delay, Visible motion artifacts in video, Soft control-dial detents, Soft aperture detents With all current XF-mount lenses

Camera design, much like life, is often marked by a series of compromises. Fujifilm engineers and product developers no doubt had to wrestle with several when they conceived of the X-T10 , a less expensive alternative to the company’s flagship, and largely well-regarded, X-T1.

  • +

Retro design; excellent image quality; fast operation; tilting display; sharp EVF; Wi-Fi.

  • -

Tiny buffer inhibits continuous shooting; movie button hard to depress; tripod socket too close to battery/memory card slot.

It is small, a little too small. But its other good features justifies five stars. The design is thoughtful, better than cameras of other brands. Although the dynamic range is not as good as that of a Nikon I have, it is capable of producing excellent images if we get familiar with its personality...

Got this camera for Christmas. After doing research, I knew I wanted this Fugifilm instead of comparable Sony models. The auto mode is good, but this camera really shines when you use it in the different manual modes. My package came as a bundle with a case, Joby strap, a flash, extra battery, etc.

  • +

Easy to Use, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Battery Life, Good in Low Light, Great Resolution, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Small / Compact

I bought this last month and took this on my trip to Italy last week. Was contemplating on this vs my 5DMarkIII Canon but I knew I was going to be walking a lot and didn't want to carry it's weight (not adding the additional lens yet!). Anyway, it was the best decision to bring the Fuji X-T10.
