The Epson LS800 is good for watching movies. It's very bright, so it performs well in moderately-lit rooms, and it looks satisfactory in dark rooms due to its decent contrast, as its whites are very bright next to the image's blacks.

The LS800W is a decent bright room projector, but it becomes much less convincing when you dim the lights Bright enough to combat ambient light No need to change lamps Very responsive 120Hz gaming Dark scenes look too grey Pictures sometimes seem a bit soft Messy smart system

Setting up the projector was a breeze. The image quality is truly outstanding, and the built-in sound system is impressive, although I prefer using an external one. The projector displays brilliantly on the 120" Epson SilverFlex screen, and I've enhanced it further with an additional Epson dongle...
It is not as bright as everyone makes raved above. They must be paid to say it's bright OR you have to have a special ALR screen. I have a 120" T Prism ALR screen made by ScreenPro. It doesn't look like a TV as others would like you to think. Plus, there a defect where it turns on by itself.
I don't usually write reviews, but am because this is not a 3/5. This projector is a 5/5. This projector is fantastic. I have it paired with a Vividstorm 120" floor screen and there's no going back. Buy, buy, buy. I'm very happy.

I must say it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The picture quality is absolutely stunning, with vibrant colors and crisp, sharp imagery. The laser technology ensures a long-lasting, reliable performance that I can count on for years to come. An overall, my living room now is a cinema!
The picture is absolutely beautiful on my 135 inch screen, the brightness and color were perfecta very very happy with this purchase
Amazing! It’s like having a huge TV! The brightness and clarity really surprised me. I’m just using it on a living room wall and I am constantly amazed at the quality. I plan on getting an ALR screen but rarely watch TV in the daytime so now I’m wondering if I need one.
We have difficulty is connecting blue tooth speaker. You have to go thru lot of learning to use the sysem.
An absolutely amazing projector! We previously used a UB5050 projector and screen. The LS800 with the SilverFlex 120” screen. This totally blows away the UB5050. We can watch video during the day and the image is clear and bright.
Love it and it works great with our existing white screen and Sony soundbar
I've had this projector for one month and 3 days... It just stopped working. While in the middle of watching a show the protector just stopped projecting. The audio continued to play, but no more image displayed. Best Buy's policy allows for returns in 15 days, so I can't bring it back to them.
