Love-this-camera! Have been relying on XF305's & XA25's for multi camera sporting events. This camera is a wonder by itself. The ability to shoot MXF files and MP4's at the same time truly helps out for quick online uploads. The rotating hand grip is surprisingly comfortable and ingenious.
I just purchased a new XF 205 and I am extremely happy with it. The new stability settings are awesome. I shot while hand holding on the deck of a moving boat, and the footage is pretty solid.Every camera should have the 205’s adjustable rotating grip!!
Great product. We purchased this product for live streaming for our church. The picture quality is fantastic.
This camera replaced my Canon GL2 that I have not used for years because it was not HD. I have rented HD Pan. and JVC but purchased the XF205 because of features, cheep memory card system and batteries from my GL1 and GL2 fit this camera.
I don't usually write reviews but in this case I had to. I produce professional commercial and documentary work and I wish I could write a positive review because I have appreciated Canon's solid performance for years, but, the image on this camera is extraordinarily noisy and just plain poor.
I been having issues with controllling the camera from my iPhone/iPad. I have called Cannon multiple times and not one seems to be able to help me with the isse. We can get the iPhone/iPad to control de camera as long a the MXF format is chosen but is you are recording on SD card..
For the month or so I've had this camera it has definitely turned into the workhorse of my little group. It's a solid size that's easy to handle....small enough that it's portable and easy to use in a lot of situations, and big enough that I can use it like a pro camera.
