I really love this camera! I have a VX2000 Sony and a GL2 Canon which I really love, but to upgrade away from mini tape was a necessity! I need a second XA35 and can't wait to get it! Awesome Cam Canon!
The XA35 Camera is an amazing camera. The menus are easy to access and use. The camera performed great at our first school performance. The video and sound were excellent. The Video footage downloaded very quickly onto my iMac Laptop into iMovie.
Works great in low light and very bright light situations. Menus are easy to access and use. Video footage downloaded quickly into my iMovie.
Stay away from Sony...this is the camera you want if you want an amateur-ish professional-ish user-friendly camera. Stay away from Sony. Just do it, you'll thank me later. We're a smaller church, so we needed a camera that has professional features without a professional price, or that needed intense professional training. This camera fits the bill. While we were upgrading our video system, we needed HD-SDI connectivity.
This camera was a great investment. I love the quality, it is light weight and easy to use.
We purchased three XA-35 cameras for the video upgrade at our church. We have been using great Canon GL-2 cameras for many years and they still work very well, but we are changing to HD. That required a whole new system. One reason we bought the XA-35 was for the lens.
I have not had a ton of time to use the camera but am very impressed with it so far. Will be using it for corporate videos and marketing purposes.
Great camera! I previously purchased the XA20 several years ago. Went with the XA35 to provide the option of connecting SDI for live feed if I ever expand that far.
We use this camera professionally and it is a star performer, providing excellent image quality and good functionality. We like the included remote control which allows us to zoom in and out without touching the rocker control.
Really nice camera. I upgraded from an old Canon HV40. Glad I did!
